Editor, Times-Union:How many people out there are supposed to get child support, and don't?

Editor, Times-Union:In the past I have written letters expressing my concerns with Silver Lake’s finances and former Clerk-Treasurer Angie Glass’ job performance. The letters were based on information in documents I received from the town. The 2010 & 2011 State Board of Accounts audit shows I was right to be concerned.

- Thanks To Buyer - License - Halloween - Volleyball - What Are You? - Auto Accident Thanks To Buyer Editor, Times-Union: In 1996, a man who had been previously convicted of a felony was caught committing a crime at our local Girl Scout camp.He was armed with a shotgun at the time.Since Indiana law does not prevent a convicted felon from possessing a shotgun, I contacted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in an attempt to charge this person in the federal system. After several weeks of investigation and providing information, a U.S.attorney declined to pursue the appropriate federal charge against this individual.Frustrated, I contacted Representative Buyer's office and explained the problem.

Editor, Times-Union:In this election year of great economic and political confusion within our country and threats against our country from many directions, I wish to write an open letter to American voters of all parties who consider themselves Christians.

Editor, Times-Union:While having dinner with some dear friends I was asked the question, "Did you read the article in the Times-Union newspaper about the lady and the flu shot?

Editor, Times-Union:The other day some of my fellow contemporaries were talking about the concept of gay and lesbian marriage and consequently one of the individuals commented, “Marriage is the union between a man and a woman in the eyes of God!” And then he went on to say, “Is He wrong?”

Editor, Times-Union:This election has a mixed feeling for me and possibly for many of you.

Editor, Times-Union:This past Saturday, under a clear blue sky, nearly 100 people gathered at the Fountain Plaza in Central Park to participate in a Diversity Rally and March.

Editor, Times-Union:Thanks, Gary, you have done it again, stirring the pot (News Views 11/13).

Editor, Times-Union:I dropped into the city council meeting this week. They were talking about banning chain link fences in front yards.

Editor, Times-Union:Nov. 10, the "Dream Team" spoke up with a vengeance. I broke my own rule and read their letters, oh well.

Editor, Times-Union:I have received close to 200 stories from people who have child support or visitation problems. I have seen the problems from every side. I have researched laws. I have read reports about these issues. I have talked with prosecutors. I have received letters from congressmen and senators. They know we have problems. That is clear to everyone. No one will argue the fact that our child support and visitation system has problems. So what can we do about it?

Praying For America Editor, Times-Union: We are praying for America because of the national sin of abortion, especially on this infamous day marking 30 years of murdering our weakest citizens. While our federal government has legalized selective murder at home, it goes about to unseat Saddam Hussein who has murdered his own citizens.Is not America's slaughter of babies the worse crime? It is said that abortion should remain safe and legal.Where is the safety for the little boy or girl? And who made it legal but unjust judges.

Editor, Times-Union:The world that we live in isn't fair. In all actuality, it is merciless.

Editor, Times-Union: Sunday, Aug. 7 marks the anniversary of the Badge of Military Merit, today known as the Purple Heart, the oldest military decoration in the world.
