Grace College’s men’s tennis team finished its fall season Tuesday with a 5-4 loss at Marian. The Lancers (4-6) were unable to beat Marian for the second time this year. Grace lost to the No. 2 seed Knights Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Crossroads League Tournament. Grace jumped out to an early lead after doubles as the Lancers won two of the three doubles’ points.

His partner Lon Clay and playing partners Steve True and Hugh Buehler witnessed the ace. Eastlake Owners To Celebrate 10-Year Anniversary On Saturday Eastlake Skating Center, 3010 Frontage Road, Warsaw, will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of ownership by Trace Hanson from 2-10 p.m. Saturday. Skaters arriving between 2-7 p.m. will receive free admission.

Warsaw boys soccer coach Frank Courtois challenged his players ... and they accepted, scoring three goals in the final 13 minutes en route to a 3-1 win over the Fort Wayne South Side Archers.
SYRACUSE – For the first 65 minutes of the match, Lakeland seemed content to play defense and look for a break. But it was Wawasee that finally broke through, scoring three times in eight minutes for a 3-0 boys soccer sectional win at Warrior Field Monday night.

Lakeland Christian Splits In Tourney
Both the Manchester boys and girls soccer teams closed out regular season play Saturday with non-conference home wins over South Adams. The Squire boys won 5-0 while the Lady Squires earned a 2-1 victory. Caleb Stout and Nathan Self had a pair of first-half goals each, and Noah Beck had a goal before halftime for Manchester.
The Lakeview 8th grade volleyball team won the Lakeview Invitational Saturday at the Tiger Den. Lakeview defeated Northfield 21-9, 21-14; Wabash 21-9, 21-11; and Wawasee 21-16, 21-9 in pool play.. In the championship match, Lakeview beat Edgewood 25-12, 25-20.

Warsaw won its sixth-straight boys tennis sectional title Saturday in decisive fashion, beating Columbia City 5-0.
WINONA LAKE – For a 0-0 game, Saturday’s rivalry clash between Grace College’s men’s soccer team and Bethel was action-packed.
The Indiana High School Athletic Association held the sectional pairings show for the 45th annual football state tournament Sunday afternoon. The tournament, presented by the Indianapolis Colts, is slated to begin Oct. 20 for Class 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A teams. Class 6A teams will open sectional play Oct. 27.
Thanks in large part to senior quarterback Tristan Larsh, Warsaw retained the “W” trophy Friday night with a 35-13 win over Wawasee in Northern Lakes Conference football action at Fisher Field. Wawasee got off to a solid start, forcing Warsaw to punt on its first possession. The snap was low, and freshman Harrison Mevis’ kick was blocked and returned 22 yards for a touchdown by Warrior sophomore Jesse Landeros. Larsh threw a pair of second-quarter touchdown passes, one to Zach Riley and the other to Luke Adamiec just before halftime, to put the Tigers in the lead. He scored the first of his three second-half rushing touchdowns on Warsaw’s first offensive play of the third quarter. Warsaw scored twice in the space of 1:17 between the second and third quarters.
