Lady Tiger Volleyball Drops Heartbreaker At NorthWood

NAPPANEE – Warsaw was up a set in its Northern Lakes Conference volleyball match at NorthWood Thursday. The host Lady Panthers pulled out a two-point victory in the fourth set and won the match 25-18, 17-25, 21-25, 26-24, 15-8 over the Lady Tigers.

Alexie Day had 12 kills and 17 blocks for Warsaw. Erin Peugh had 20 digs, Katie Swanson 12 kills, Kennedy Lauck six blocks and Kacy Bragg 45 assists for the Lady Tigers.

The Tiger junior varsity won 24-25, 25-22, 15-13 over NorthWood. McKenna Hawblitzel had nine kills, 13 digs and a pair of aces in the win. Sierra Dorossett had eight kills and Kaia Hummitch three blocks in the match.

The freshman match was won by Warsaw, 18-25, 25-14, 15-7, over the Lady Panthers. Tessa Wood had 12 kills, Allison Zartman six kills, Rylee Kaufman 16 digs and Isabella Hamil 10 digs and four aces for the winners.

Warsaw will play in the Dunes Tournament in Rolling Prairie Saturday.



Lady Wildcats Win

SOUTH WHITLEY – Alicia Sikora had 26 assists and three aces, and Haley Howard added six kills and three aces for Whitko in its 25-16, 25-20, 26-24 non-conference volleyball win over visiting Fort Wayne Canterbury Thursday.

Carissa Beck had 11 kills and a block for the Lady Wildcats. Kristina Slater had 27 digs and seven kills and Jadin Parrett three blocks in the win.

Whitko (5-20) hosts Northfield in a Three Rivers Conference match Monday.



Valley VB Gets Non-Conference Victory

CULVER – Sophie Bussard had 12 kills and five digs for Tippecanoe Valley in its 25-16, 25-8, 25-13 non-conference volleyball win at Culver Community Thursday.

Emily Peterson had 21 assists and Hannah Durkes three aces in the win.

The Lady Viking junior varsity earned a 25-13, 25-13 win. Sarah Myers and Hannah Engstrand had eight assists each for Valley. Sidney Wagoner had seven kills, Kennedie Brooks three aces, Allison Betten four digs and Hayley Backus two blocks in the winning effort.

Valley (18-8) plays at Rochester in a Three Rivers Conference match Monday.



Manchester VB Falls

WABASH – Sydney Day had 12 kills, 10 digs, a block and an ace for Manchester in its 27-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-20 Three Rivers Conference volleyball loss to host Southwood Thursday night.

Ali Sites added 19 digs for Manchester. Kendra Auler had three aces and Kiera Hatfield two blocks in the match.

In the junior varsity match, Andrea Kahn had a team-high five kills in Manchester’s 25-16, 25-11 win. Greta Auler had five digs and Sarah Pegg three aces in the match.

Manchester will host Oak Hill in a non-conference match Monday.

Lady Cougars Fall In 4 Sets

WINONA LAKE – Kyla Kohler had 25 assists, five kills and four blocks for Lakeland Christian in its 25-8, 25-27, 25-21, 27-25 non-conference volleyball loss to visiting Elkhart Christian Thursday.

Cami Dahms had 13 kills and Baylee Wiley six kills for the Lady Cougars. Heather Plastow had 24 digs, McKenzie Burns 10 digs and Morgan Ziebarth six blocks in the match.

Lakeland Christian will host the Goshen Blue Blazers Monday.



Memorial Downs Wawasee

ELKHART – Peyton Rookstool had 12 digs for Wawasee in its 25-9, 25-10, 25-14 Northern Lakes Conference loss at Elkhart Memorial Thursday.

Memorial won the junior varsity match 25-15, 25-6 over Wawasee.

In the freshman match, Emma Dippon had two kills and two blocks in Wawasee’s 25-22, 25-16 victory. Abby Morehead had five digs, Morgan Heche two aces and Vivian Wiggs two assists in the win.

Wawasee will play in the Dunes Tournament in Rolling Prairie Saturday.
