- Second Amendment - Church And State - Candidate Snubbed - Farmer's Creed Second Amendment Editor, Times-Union: Catching heat again from friends wanting to know why I haven't been writing.Well it's rather simple. As most people know, my favorite topic is the Second Amendment and the situation there is rather quiet. This being an election year and all, the politicians are hesitant to start another fire fight. They learned in 1994 that stomping on the Bill of Rights can be a costly business and since the Democrats are desperate to regain control of Congress this year, I think they have told Chuck Schumer, Dianne Feinstein and company to sit on it till next year.

- Nostalgia - Abortion Nostalgia Editor, Times-Union: In regards to Mr.Don Kaiser's letter to the editor for July 24th, I must say that that was an absolute slap in the face for me.How one man (whom I know for sure has not met the entire group of "young," as he put it) can say that "the young don't care for nostalgia." Who do you think, Mr.Kaiser, writes these books and movies of today for the young of today? It was the generation after yours or after that. Please, don't blame these kids who watch Harry Potter or "Jurassic Park" and no longer play with G.I.Joe or Barbie because they aren't "witchcrafty or bloody" enough. They are only digesting what is put in front of their faces.

We all fell in love with Darla (my daughter chose her name).Within three days she fell ill and my vet diagnosed her with parvo.Since she had her first shots she had a 75 percent chance of survival.Almost $400 and many prayers later our baby survived this terrible disease.
- Cultural Entertainment - Webster Celebration Cultural Entertainment Editor, Times-Union: In the past week we have attended a fantastic performance of "Titanic," heard the principal cellist of the Pittsburgh Symphony, a veteran soloist with the Metropolitan Opera and enough talented young musicians to fill a huge stage.Did we travel miles to feast on these delights? Not at all.We attended Warsaw's Wagon Wheel Theatre and Master Works Concerts at Winona Lake. The best part is that the concerts were free! No other community the size of Warsaw/Winona Lake can boast of such a collection of talent. We wish to thank all who made this possible and urge others to partake.
