Editor, Times-Union:Gary Gerard's News Views in the weekend paper (May 15 & 16), "Too Much Debt," needs to reach the people in Washington, all of the major TV networks and the AARP.

Editor, Times-Union:While visiting the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Fort Wayne, I noticed a paper posted on the outside door of an office I was entering.

Editor, Times-Union: On behalf of Kosciusko Silent NO More, I would like to invite  Kosciusko County to meet gubernatorial candidate Mike Pence at the Bishop Family Farm in Leesburg (1865 W. CR 700N) on Saturday for “A Country Christmas.”

Editor, Times-Union:Well! We are up to $12 billion a day in Iraq. A bill now before the House is asking for $465 billion more for 2008.

Editor, Times-Union:As many of you already know, I have been on a leave of absence to recover from surgery due to an injury.

Editor, Times-Union:When political hypocrisy runs amok one must start to question the true motive of the visceral opposition to President Obama by Conservative Republicans.

- Life Chain - Time Of Need - Tilton Fund-Raiser Life Chain Editor, Times-Union: As a member of Right to Life I would like to invite all of Kosciusko County to attend our 11th annual Life Chain.It's an opportunity once a year to let our county know, by our actions, where we stand on the issue of abortion. Many times when talking with people about abortion, I will ask them, "If you saw a mother pushing a stroller with a baby in it and they stopped and she began beating the baby with the intent to kill, what would you do to stop her?" Who wouldn't have room in their hearts to love and protect a baby? We can't call the police in the matter of abortion, but we can keep striving to make our voices louder and louder till our government takes notice, or we can change hearts and minds in the meantime.

Editor, Times-Union:Wouldn’t it be nice to be rich? And there are different ways a person can count themselves as being rich, such as being rich in spirit, but usually a person thinks in terms of money. When a person thinks in terms other than money, it is a good thing to be rich in other things besides money. Money really can’t buy everything.
