God, And a Mother's Love
Did you ever pause and just compare,
The love that God and a Mother share?
As a Mother suffers in giving birth,
So God's only Son suffered, while here on earth.
As a Mother watches o'er a sleeping child,
So God watches over us, all the while.
When her child is hurt, to a Mothers heart comes pain,
And when His children suffer, God feels just the same.
As a Mother instructs her child to love and obey,
Our loving father too, would have us walk the right way.
So as we ponder on the love that God and a Mother share,
I thank God for my Mother, there is not many that can compare.
And I thank Him too, for His live and care, through the years,
Since the love that God and a Mother share; takes away all fears.
