Editor, Times-Union: It was a lovely evening for the concert on the shores of beautiful Lake Wawasee and the lawn of Oakwood Inn. Audience members could enjoy the concert on water or land and be reminded of our many blessings in our free country. The Fort Wayne Philharmonic, directed by Maestro Edvard Tchivzhel, performed a stimulating concert of patriotic music. On behalf of the orchestra, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the contributors who made it possible.
Special thanks are directed to those who provided services.
Thank you, Syracuse, for your hospitable welcome and enthusiasm for our concert.

Winona Celebration
Editor, Times-Union: We regret that the Winona Lake Fourth of July Celebration of 2003 had to be canceled. The storm that raged through Winona Lake Friday evening, July 4, left the park and most of the town in an unsafe condition.
The cancellation decision was a very difficult one because so much time and effort had gone into the preparation for the festivities on the part of our vendors, entertainers, participants and the committee.
Since most of the special events had to be booked many months in advance, it was deemed impossible to reschedule this event for this summer. We trust that the citizens of Winona Lake can understand how disappointed all involved were.
We would like to thank our sponsors, vendors, volunteers and the community for their support and understanding in this matter. We hope that we can count on all of them to be a part of next year's celebration.
We would like to extend a special thank-you to the committee for all their preparatory work and organization. We would also like to thank town officials, the Winona Lake Park Board and the entire Winona Lake town office staff. It is a pleasure working with you. We realize that this event would not be a success without your efforts and the sponsors' support.
We thank all involved for their time, commitments and contributions. We are looking forward to the 2004 Fourth of July Celebration.

Loved And Missed
Editor, Times-Union: From the family of Tiffanee Landrum. We would like to thank everyone for their support in this time of need.
We loved her very much and always will. We also know she was loved by all the people that showed their respects for Tiffanee and Taylor. We would like to say thanks for all the help with the food, buildings, flowers and plants. But most of all just for being there for the family.
This is the hardest thing our family has had to deal with. (It is very tough for all of us.) There's a lot of "what-if's." We will never know what really happened. But it can't change what has happened. All we know is there must have been some reason. But we will never know the reason why. It just does not seem real, it's so hard to deal with.
She was an all-around great girl. She would do anything for anyone. She was funny, great in sports, she was goofy. There will never be a day that goes by that we all won't think of her.
Thanks again for being there for our family. We will try to get through this one day at a time.
Tiffanee, we all loved you very much and always will. We will never forget you.
Ashlee, we love you and if you need anything or just want to talk, let any of us know. We will help you, mom or dad with anything.
Again, thank you all for your help through everything.
