- Dissent - Schools Dissent Editor, Times-Union: This letter is in response to the letters by Don Guard and Don Kaiser published in the July 16 Times-Union's Letters section.

Editor, Times-Union:I write informing readers about proposed legislation allowing government to regulate church outreach ministries in Indiana.

Editor, Times-Union:Two years ago my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was extremely lucky and blessed to have had Dr. Goksel as her oncologist. All through her treatment, Dr. Goksel was with her every step of the way.

Editor, Times-Union:The phrase means a lot to us or we wouldn't use it so much. Ponder with me the deep meaning of traditional American values.

- Pierceton Pantry Open - The Wall - Dig's Diner - Tragic Story Pierceton Pantry Open Editor, Times-Union: I read in your letters to the Editor page a letter from the Roving Chef that said the Pierceton Food Pantry was closed. I have no idea where this information came from.The Pierceton Food Pantry is alive and well and is in operation four days a week, and will continue as long as I am Trustee. The Pierceton Food Pantry is in my office, so I should know.

Editor, Times-Union:The following is based on my previous letters to the editor concerning the similarities and differences between Fascism and Communism.

- Tax Loophole? - Presidential Debate - Wawasee Teacher - Just The Facts Tax Loophole? Editor, Times-Union: While watching last night's vice presidential debate, I was very shocked to hear Cheney slam S-corporations as some sort of obscene tax loophole.As a CPA, I advised many of my clients to use S-corps.This is not some shady loophole for the rich, but rather a legitimate form of business that is used by a large portion of middle-class small business owners, and has been for many years.If Cheney has a problem with S-corps, this should be a major concern for small-business owners, and I would like to know more about his position on this issue.

Editor, Times-Union: In 1963 and 1964 I was involved in registering individuals to vote. At that time I was a registered Democrat. I have since switched parties; however, I am still not convinced that the Republicans have got it right either.

Editor, Times-Union:I am amazed at how quickly our homes and properties have been reassessed and the notices sent out since the school referendum passed.

Editor, Times-Union:Dear Indiana Legislator, I’m writing because I know you are sincerely concerned about the well-being of the people in our rural communities.
