Editor, Times-Union: In 1963 and 1964 I was involved in registering individuals to vote. At that time I was a registered Democrat. I have since switched parties; however, I am still not convinced that the Republicans have got it right either.
I feel many things are missing in both parties and the major flaw is not telling the truth. Honesty is out ... corruption is in. I feel the people in power in Washington should be voted out and new people voted in.
I understand why things are done today ... everything is a power struggle. Too much time is spend on campaigning to be re-elected instead of governing for the people’s interests. I pray much thought is used at election time.
