Editor, Times-Union:My wife and I have been to almost all games (home and away) at Warsaw High School since 1992 and wonder what is up with the Warsaw cheerleaders.

- Supports Equal Rights Supports Equal Rights Editor, Times-Union: This is in reply to the letter "Take a Stand", submitted by Rick Bradley on June 28. Mr.Bradley, you referred to the recent employment policy passed by Gov.Mitch Daniels.I had a chance to read about most of this policy and even though I myself am gay, and may I add a gay Christian, I have to admit that I personally feel that the policy goes somewhat too far.I do not believe in "special rights" for anyone in the homosexual, bi-sexual or transgender communities. In fact, I do not believe in "special rights" for anyone at all.I simply believe in equal rights for all.And by the way, I am very satisfied and happy with the way that I am treated and accepted in my workplace.I am not looked at any different than anyone else.

Editor, Times-Union:Saturday I attended the Legislative Third House sponsored by the Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce.

- Thanks From Safe Kids Thanks From Safe Kids Editor, Times-Union: This thank you letter is long overdue. As a member of Kosciusko County Safe Kids, I would like to thank all of the corporate, agency and personal sponsors who made Safety Test a success. Again, I want to apologize to everybody involved that this "thank you" is so late.

Editor, Times-Union:On July 20th, 1969 as an 11 year old I sat staring in wonder at the black and white TV image of the ladder of the Lunar Module, Eagle.

Editor, Times-Union:It is time for Kosciusko County to take action against Confined Animal Feeding Operations.

Editor, Times-Union:Recently, I received a postcard from my representative, Mr. Curt Nisly, saying we should stay connected. Do I have to remind Mr. Nisly that the Indiana General Assembly is dead last with veteran benefits?

Editor, Times-Union:Nothing warms my heart more than the Times-Union featuring and printing stories of success and triumph. I have two articles in hand that I want to comment on.

Editor, Times-Union:How sad if they close that small but yet big stretch of CR 100.

Editor, Times-Union:I am writing for your opinion and the opinion of your readers. I have a situation that has been going on for about three years, and I am at my wits' end.

Editor, Times-Union:I am a Political Science major currently studying my second year at Indiana University.

- Whitko FFA - Child Care Vouchers - Thanks To Legion Post - Astronaut Educator Whitko FFA Editor, Times-Union: I am writing this letter out of concern for the Whitko FFA program.I am an alumnus of Whitko High School, and I cannot say that I am proud of that fact after reading the minutes of the WHS school board meetings.Wake up, people in the Whitko School District, your superintendent and trustees are slowly doing away with your elite agriculture and FFA program under the pretense of budget cuts! You need to sit up and pay attention, it won't be long until Whitko is no longer a "Best Buy.

Editor, Times-Union: From Washington to Warsaw, people have to wonder, what’s going on? For as much money as is being spent, taxpayers know less about the outcome.

Editor, Times-Union:When proponents of Embryonic stem cells say, as Hillary Clinton said at a "Super Tuesday rally; "We will allow scientists to do stem cell research."

Editor, Times-Union:I was at Downtown Days. There were no kiddie rides, there was no fish fry, there was very few vendors (couldn't even find a corn dog).

- Atheists - Positive Identification - No Left Turn Atheists Editor, Times-Union: In a letter to the editor, Ms.Joyce A.Phaneuf of New Webster fusses over the meaning of the word "church," then wonders "Are atheists the only ones who can vote and hold office in our government?" Ah, Ms.Phaneuf, that's hardly the case. The constitutions of six states (Arkansas, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Tennessee) specifically forbid them from holding office.Elsewhere this form of discrimination is practiced a bit more subtly.Across the United States, not one admitted atheist holds any sort of statewide or national office.

Editor, Times-Union:I'm not sure who is responsible for the headers on sports articles, but would “someone” explain and/or defend the choice of the header in Saturday's edition – “Goshen Skins Wawasee Warriors.”
