Editor, Times-Union: From Washington to Warsaw, people have to wonder, what’s going on? For as much money as is being spent, taxpayers know less about the outcome.
One reason for knowing less is the way government, at all levels, has suppressed the involvement of the people. Often times, this is because the logic of ordinary people undermines the power and control of government.
For approximately 25 years, the City of Warsaw has evolved into a one-party government rule. It’s not enough that so few a number of people can direct the imbalance of thinking in this community. Too often it comes with little or no accountability, even though its mistakes have cost the city a great deal in time lost and money spent. All of this while enriching the lives of a few who govern.
