Downtown Days

I was at Downtown Days. There were no kiddie rides, there was no fish fry, there was very few vendors (couldn't even find a corn dog). Exactly what was it that Brian Salyer was so proud of "12 months of preparation" over? I'm at a loss to see it or explain his objection to nothing happening.

I saw six blocks of street blocked off for half a dozen bike riders. Is that what he is proud of? Where are the vendors? Why isn't there a fish fry?

I know people still do these things. Is it that they "won't come here"? Why would that be? Perhaps because people are "proud" of what they didn't do?

Just wondering what he was complaining about. There wasn't anything there.
