ELKHART – Kennedy Lauck and Kacy Bragg were forces at the net in the?Warsaw volleyball team’s 3-0 shutout Wednesday at Elkhart Memorial. The Lady Tigers (10-2) won the Northern Lakes Conference match 25-16, 25-21, 25-22.

WINONA LAKE – The Grace College women’s tennis team dismantled Bethel College 7-2 on Tuesday to kick off the 2018 season.

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley volleyball coach Mallory Eaton garnered her 100th career win in a 3-0 home win over Peru on Tuesday.

WINONA LAKE – The 2018 season for Grace College’s men’s tennis team started perfectly on Tuesday.

NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester Squires scored early and often Tuesday evening, and the end result was a dominating victory over the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings.

SOUTH?WHITLEY – Anna Reimink and Carly O’Hara scored two goals each to lead Lakeland Christian to a 7-1 girls soccer victory Monday over the host Whitko Lady Wildcats.

Warsaw Community High School has named John Wesley Maierle as the next Tiger boys track and field coach, pending the approval of the Warsaw Board of School Trustees.

WINONA LAKE – Grace College’s volleyball team wrapped up the 2018 Lancer Classic with a pair of 3-0 victories Saturday.

Manchester High School junior soccer player Caleb Stout has been selected as the Times-Union Area Athlete of the Week for his accomplishments the week of Aug. 20-25. Stout kicked in five goals in two matches for the Squires last week. He notched a hat trick in Manchester's 7-0 rout of the Caston Comets on Tuesday, and tallied two goals and an assist in the Squires' 6-0 shutout of the Wabash Apaches on Thursday. Manchester (3-1, 1-0 Three Rivers Conference) will host conference foe Tippecanoe Valley on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Warsaw football coach Bart Curtis wants Josh West to take ownership of the team’s offense.

WINONA LAKE – Grace College senior Kelsee Zuidema recorded her 1,000th career kill on Friday at the annual Lancer Classic.

NORTH MANCHESTER – Delton Moore gobbled up ground, but the Manchester football team fell short in a 36-21 loss to Bluffton at home on Friday. Moore ran for 176 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.  The Squires (0-2) held a 7-6 lead after Devin Marcum connected with Trey Clark for a touchdown pass.

SOUTH WHITLEY – A week after a 28-0 loss to Whitley County rival Churubusco, the Whitko Wildcats were looking for a win over their other county nemesis – Columbia City. Neither the Eagles or Wildcats won their first game, so a win Friday at Ryan Huff Memorial Stadium would have propelled either program. It was a defensive struggle, to say the least.

BOURBON –  Nothing doing.  The Triton football team failed to get much offense going in a 19-0 loss to LaVille in a Hoosier North Athletic Conference game at Triton High School. 

One goal was all it took for Class 3A No. 10 Warsaw on Thursday.

PLYMOUTH – Led by its strong junior class, Warsaw’s varsity boys soccer team opened Northern?Lakes Conference play in fine fashion Thursday evening.

WINONA LAKE – Grace College’s volleyball team landed one of its most exciting prospects in program history with the signing of 10-year-old Courtney Brower.

NORTH?MANCHESTER – The?Manchester Lady Squires continued their winning ways with a 195-221 win over Whitko on Thursday in a girls golf match at Sycamore Golf Club.
