If we accept the Greenwich Meridian and Greenwich Mean Time as the standard, the border of the Central and Eastern Time Zones would be placed at the 85th parallel.Checking the map, that puts the entire state of Indiana squarely in the Central Time Zone, as the 85th parallel is located east of the Indiana/Ohio border. With the exception of Michigan, other affected states have adopted the 85th parallel as a demarcation point for the time zone boundary.
