Warsaw High School students, thank you for your love and support in a very trying time.

Editor, Times-Union:I know that a lot of people are concerned about our community and the recession.

Editor, Times-Union:How many of you knew that, hidden in the stimulus bill passed last February, were provisions for health care reform?

- Veterans' Day Program Veterans' Day Program Unless you had a child who is in band or choir and attends Lakeview or Edgewood middle schools, you probably did not know about one of the greatest Veteran's Day programs in the area held Nov.11 at 7 p.m.in the gym of Lakeview Middle School. Thank you to everyone who did our Veteran's proud that night. To the community, please bring a veteran or two to this program next year and feel the magic as your veteran is asked to stand tall to the song of their branch of service. It will be a few years before we have another child attending Lakeview, but I will be there next Nov.11.

- Caring Community - The Solution - Nontraditional Careers Caring Community Editor, Times-Union: We would like to say how thankful we are that we live in the community that we do.We have recently experienced a life-changing and near life-ending experience, when a house fire struck our family and was nearly a complete loss, Nov.13.A picture and small caption was on the front page of your paper that day. As a family we just wanted to take time to thank everyone, starting with Ed Kipker who happened to be nearby. His quick response, instincts as a fireman and will of God putting him in the right place that afternoon, may have been what kept Adam with us that day.Thank you.

Editor, Times-Union:I hear pray for this and pray for that all the time. Recently, I saw a pray to stop wars letter.

- Save The Deer - Recycling Machine - Polston Says Thanks - Hoffman Lake Property Save The Deer Editor, Times-Union: I see in the paper Mr.Shenefield of Pam Street wants all the deer in town killed and even worse, he wants them poisoned. That would be a horrible way to die.I'm sure he wouldn't like that kind of treatment. He could put up a fence or better yet, feed them.If he can buy $4000 worth of flowers, he could buy a little feed for them, and they probably wouldn't bother his flowers. We keep taking all the land and woods to build houses, so where are they supposed to go? and as far as I know there are none of those diseases you are talking about in Indiana.

Editor, Times-Union:The editorial cartoon in the Tuesday paper plays on the erroneous message sent by a viral video making the rounds. In it, a woman talks about voting for Obama because he gave her a cell phone. Lovers of conspiracies and haters of anything Obama have grabbed on to this to expose another supposedly wasteful Obama program.

Editor, Times-Union:As attorneys who practice in the Kosciusko County area, we wanted to make our choice for Kosciusko County Circuit Court Judge in the Republican primary known. Both Michael W. Reed and Stephen P. Harris are honest men of integrity, however, the choice for Kosciusko County Circuit Court Judge should be based on the qualifications and experience of the candidates. Michael W. Reed’s qualifications and experience clearly make him the best candidate.

Editor, Times-Union:There is talk of putting "round abouts" along Old 30 and the intersections of Zimmer and Fox Farm roads and CR 350W.

Editor, Times-Union:I had to respond to the letter titled “Fear God” in last night’s paper.

Editor, Times-Union:This past year my family made the hardest, most difficult decision of our lifetime.

Sometimes an opportunity presents itself that makes sense for our community.

Editor, Times-Union:Regardless of what is going on in my personal life, God help me, I must speak. We have all enjoyed living in a country that has offered the greatest economic, and religious freedom in the world. Our president’s economic policies have downgraded us to eighth or ninth place in the world.

Editor, Times-Union: Decisions, decisions. So many to make in the next four years.  Who will be the wise one? I went to the airport meeting the other night thanks to Tony Miller, who brought it to my attention with his half-page ad. It was worse than standing room only, many didn’t even get in the door and as Mr. Thallemer said at the end of the meeting, “It’s hotter than hell in here.”

Editor, Times-Union:I just read the article about the animal cruelty that has been going on at the AWL and it literally made me sick to my stomach.

- Where Is God? - Open-Minded - Stand Firm - International Education - School Clubs Where Is God? Editor, Times-Union: Where is God? "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind ...[and] considers everything they do.No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength....But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine" (Psalm 33:12-19, NIV).
