- Beanie Babies - Expulsion - Gold Wing Riders - Criminals - Trader Days - More KKK Beanie Babies Editor, Times-Union: It was with great amusement that I read the "Between the Lines" column by Ruth Ann Lipka. You see, I sell Beanie Babies. At first, Beanie Babies were a nice plush item with a reasonable selling price. Then it hit! We placed orders every two or three days, all to no avail. They simply couldn't ship out as quickly as the orders poured in.

- Dangerous Road - Winona Fire Department - Schizophrenic - Newspaper Dangerous Road Editor, Times-Union: Approximately six months ago, a speeding motorist killed my dog in front of my house in broad daylight, and did not stop.At that time, I wrote a "Letter to the Editor" regarding this, and I also put up signs in my yard trying to get motorists to slow down.My dog getting killed is what provoked me to do this, but I also had and have a concern regarding the traffic on this stretch of road.County Road 475 is a short cut from Warsaw to North Webster, and without many houses from 300N for three-fourths of a mile down, many feel no need to slow down.

Editor, Times-Union:After reviewing the article in the April 16 paper regarding damage done to the pavilion during a party, we, as a multicultural class, took offense to the author's tone.

- School Expansion - Thanksgiving Prayer School Expansion Editor, Times-Union: I would like to add my two cents into the current debate over school expansion plans. As a former student at WCHS I participated in band, track and the speech team.I have seen both sides of the debate. The football team needs a new stadium and the track team really needs a better track (the current one is basically asphalt). On the other hand, the academic teams and performing arts need a better place to perform. The band and its supporters have grown so large that concerts are now held in the gym.The acoustics in a gym are horrendous and completely unacceptable for a band or choral concert.

Anyone who does that kind of "hunting" has to have some real serious problems. It is indeed abhorrent to see these beautiful and majestic animals killed in that manner.
