Editor, Times-Union:I am going to use Jennifer Arnold's logic - to defeat her point.

Editor, Times-Union:As a matter of public service, readers of the Times-Union should be aware of an important announcement recently issued by Michael J. Astrue, commissioner of Social Security, effective Monday, March 1, 2010.

Editor, Times-Union:The Indiana Family Institute and the American Family Association of Indiana focus on educating the public on issues of faith, family and freedom.

- Libertarians - Community Garden - Boys And Girls Club - Thank You - Christian Rally - Teens Libertarians Editor, Times-Union: The Libertarian Party has launched a new website to lobby against the war in Yugoslavia, and hopes to flood Congress with e-mails demanding an immediate end to American military involvement in that conflict. The site, www.StopTheWarNow.com, went online at the end of April, and is already generating more than 1,000 anti-war lobbying messages a day. "We want to bombard congress with e-mails in the name of peace, just as the American government is bombarding Yugoslavia with missiles in the name of war," said Steve Dasbach, national director of the Libertarian Party.

Editor, Times-Union: I attended the Winona Lake Town Council meeting, Tuesday,  Aug. 9, 2011, as I do quite often. After the normal functions to get the meeting started, it turned into the most juvenile display of town government I have witnessed.

Editor, Times-Union:I’m hoping the movies “13 Hours” and “The Big Short” affect the November presidential election.

- Con Artists - Bully Bill Con Artists Editor, Times-Union: I was intrigued by Gary Gerard's recent article about "Churches Being Hit By Apparent Con Artists" in a recent edition of the Times-Union.His article was right on the mark! Doesn't it seem strange that these con artists usually come to town seeking help on weekends knowing the the church will be vulnerable? The offices of The Salvation Army, other charities and local social services are usually closed.They realize their story will not be checked by those who are used to keeping records of people in genuine need of assistance.They also have a good idea of those who are intent on acting as "cons" who steal from others.

Editor, Times-Union:This letter is in response to Mr. Guard's very pathetic letter to the editor in Friday's Times-Union.

We've finished our footing runs for the morning, and cleaned up more than 20 items of debris from the lake. I assure you, the first time one of us catches your beer cans on our feet at 40 mph, I will be on mission to get you caught. Please, just take your trash home! Editor, Times-Union:While traveling in Fort Wayne last week the news on the radio announced that the powers that be were going to save $400,000 of taxpayers' money. How will they do this?

Editor, Times-Union:Yes, Harold, many communication problems do precipitate through a lack of misunderstanding.

Editor, Times-Union:Recently, one of our town residents has begun campaigning for a seat on the town council. His name is Jerry Nelson.

Editor, Times-Union: When I got back into town last night I passed Right to Life’s commemorative display of crosses, clothing the campus lawn along King’s Highway.

Editor, Times-Union:I have read the furor over the property tax issue and have a few questions to those that want to do away with property taxes.

Editor, Times-Union:It is time to for the WCS School Board to work harder on the $100 million building program. The taxpayers can not pay for nor support a $65 million bond just for four elementary schools.

Editor, Times-Union:In Wednesday's Times-Union, representatives of the group trying to force a major sewer project on residents near Chapman and Tippecanoe lakes admits to trying to add properties to his plans to spread the costs. He admits to over-development of lakefront property as the culprit.

Editor, Times-Union:In regards to the recent proposal to vacate a portion of CR 100E for the extension of a runway for the Warsaw Municipal Airport. (Times Union 11/2).

- Truth To Prevail - Juvenile - Grace Village - Solicitations - Mason's Health Care - Truth To Prevail Editor, Times-Union: Your column this morning was great! I think it addressed the core of this tragic situation which faces our country. Some of the same questions have been in my mind."But where are they finding these people that they poll?" I'd like to know that, too.If there is a phone number that anyone could call to state their opinion, perhaps you could print it in the paper.I'd call and I think lots of other folks in our community would also.

Editor, Times-Union:In response to Mr. Smith's misinformed letter to the editor, I want to thank him for another chance to talk to the community!

Editor, Times-Union:While reading the Times-Union on April 26, on the front page I noticed Frauhiger Realty was granted a variance permit for indoor warehousing in a R-2 rated zone.
