Letters To The Editor

- U.S.Hated - Immigration - Demos - Police Jobs U.S.Hated Editor, Times-Union: I enjoyed reading the letter "Israel" from Buck Young and I agree with it.There has been unrest in that area for a long time and it will go on.There are more Muslims in the world than any other religion. We are aiding Israel in making more terrorists and bin Ladens. I'm glad that Jim Townsend found a use for the Ann Coulter columns.I read the paper for news but she only puts people down and calls them names.I am amazed that she hasn't been sued.I like David Broder, he is a good columnist and tells things as they are.

Editor, Times-Union:It's 8:30 a.m., Friday, July 9, and "She's coming home!"

Editor, Times-Union:As a politician parades are a big part of my job. I like to walk the parade routes because you can actually shake a hand or say hello up close instead of yelling at them. I also like to hand out candy instead of throwing it at the kids. With my luck I would throw that piece of candy that would poke a kid’s eye out.

- Headlights In The Rain - Big 10 Standings, Please - New Hope Pet Rescue - Thanks To The Community Headlights In The Rain Editor, Times-Union: While in Florida a number of years ago on a vacation, I learned that it is the law in that state for motorists to always turn on their headlights during a rain.I thought that was a good law then and I still think so now.

- Health Care Thanks - Courtrooms To Classrooms - Democracy - Coroner - Roberts Decision - Sprewell Incident Health Care Thanks Editor, Times-Union: On behalf of the board of directors and staff of the Health Care Foundation of Kosciusko County Inc., I would like to thank our community for this year's beautiful Christmas in the Park - Festival of Trees. The proceeds from this year's event support our programs: ParentShare, Bed and Britches, Etc.(BABE), and Mini-Grant program.

Editor, Times-Union:As we daily observe Washington try to take more and more control over our lives, we thought it appropriate to return to the writings of our Founding Fathers.

Editor, Times-Union: I've read a couple of letters to the editor lately bashing unions and the Democratic law makers who walked off of their jobs.

Editor, Times-Union:Kosciusko County is blessed with a huge variety of quality artistic performances.

Editor, Times-Union:I don't even know where to start in regard to Tom Metzger's letter to the editor about Senator Obama's birth certificate. Should I go on and on about Metzger being a white supremacist who has actually been held responsible in a court of law for the murder of a black man? Should I remind all of you that he and his son lead the White Aryan Resistance Movement? Will the fact that he lies and lies about almost anything, especially if it degrades people of color, be enough to convince you that his most recent letter's assertion is also a lie - a very old, very debunked, ran-through-the-washer-a-million-times lie?

Editor, Times-Union: I am a resident of the west side of Warsaw that has the pleasure of using our new roundabout on a daily basis. Through my experience thus far, the roundabout is a great addition to the Lake Street/Fox Farm Road intersection, though I believe that much of the general public doesn’t understand how to properly use it.

Editor, Times-Union:I understand that there is a lot about the new Health Care Reform legislation that is flawed ...

Editor, Times-Union:My father, Robert D. Martin, was buried at Oakwood Cemetery on Feb. 3, 2014 (we think). I say “we think” because when we arrived for his service we were informed that the cemetery was “closed” and we would not be allowed to have the burial there.

Editor, Times-Union:Economic experts warn that the world is on the brink of an economic collapse that will dwarf the Great Depression.

Editor, Times-Union:After Tuesdays vote on carrying the wastewater petition and Mr. Truex's comments I would like to apologize to Mr. Truex for my comments directed at him.

Editor, Times-Union:Following is a portion of letter sent to the Wawasee volleyball coach:

Editor, Times-Union:I have been following the proposed closing of CR 100 E with great interest.

Editor, Times-Union:Now that Whitko basketball is over, we need to support Coach Fleetwood and his team.

Pit Bull Editor, Times-Union: I am looking for a woman who witnessed a pitbull attack against me and my dog on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, between 5:30 and 6 p.m. on the Winona Lake Greenway. I believe this woman was walking a brown dog, and she witnessed this attack from beginning to end. If you are that person, please contact the Winona Lake Police Department to describe what you saw.  It would be greatly appreciated. For the gentlemen who came running back to the scene after hearing my screams for help, a heartfelt thank you.  Not sure what the outcome would have been without your intervention.  This was a truly terrifying event and I am so gratetful for your help. Mary Jo Coppes Warsaw, via e-mail Editor, Times-Union: I am looking for a woman who witnessed a pitbull attack against me and my dog on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, between 5:30 and 6 p.m. on the Winona Lake Greenway.

Editor, Times-Union:Elder abuse comes in a variety of ways but, the worst in my opinion, is financial elder abuse.

Editor, Times-Union:Looks like our county commissioners are again working overtime in making bad decisions, now they want to close a road that is used by a large group of people.

Editor, Times-Union:In order to avoid confusing the Eppenbaugh individual, I will refer to the writer as "person.

Editor, Times-Union:The Sons Of The American Revolution encourage everyone to fly their American Flag on Saturday, Sept. 11.

- Libertarian Education - Sheriff's Department - Winona Lawsuit - Combat Infantry Badge - Meningitis - Winona Lake Thanks Libertarian Education Editor, Times-Union: If the residents of the Warsaw School District and the rest of Kosciusko County would like to see a long-term alternative to the current system of public education, they should choose the libertarian solution - separation of school and state.Parents, students and teachers would notice many differences that would come about with freedom of choice in education. 1.Only people with children in schools would be paying the bills, not the general public.

Editor, Times-Union:You are so wrong, Robert Betances.

- KC Mustangs Say Thanks KC Mustangs Say Thanks Editor, Times-Union: The Kosciusko County Mustangs semi-pro football team would like to say thank you to the people who came out and watched our games, supported the team and especially the sponsors that donated to the team to make our very first year a great success! Also, the families of all the players and coaches.
