Editor, Times-Union:As the world watches (The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) became the latest incarnation of anti-separation of church and state/pro-coerced union of church and state extremist to take hold in the Muslim world, thereby joining such more mildly repressive regimes and organizations as the Shia Muslim theocracy of Iran, the Sunni Muslim monarchy of Saudia Arabia, the recently deposed Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Al-Qaida, the Taliban, Hamas, Hezbollah, Somalia’s al-Shabaab faction, the Islamist faction in Libya and Boko Haram in Northern Nigeria.
Editor, Times-Union: Did you ever notice how most of these politicians like governors and representatives turn up on the front page of the paper hours after they have left town? They always seem to meet with with their “Amen” corporate supporters or some other special interest group nearly in private. When is the last time one appeared before we the unwashed peasants at a town meeting?

I was not close enough to the platform to hear what was being said.However, I did see many poster-size checks presented to various organizations.Giving back to the community for the years that the community supported them! I was able to move close to the platform to hear a wonderful performance by one of the employees.He sang "The Anchor Holds" by Ray Boltz.There were teary eyes in the crowd of cheers and applause.This was followed by prayer, then the ribbon-cutting.
