Editor, Times-Union: Dane Miller recently had a letter to the editor asking the voters of district 22 to vote straight Republican, doing so would give those on the ticket your vote, qualified or not. He is asking you to hire Curt Nisly, who is grossly unqualified to be our state representative for district 22. He is asking you to do something that he would never have done when he was building his company into the global name it has today. You see, when it came time to add employees he hired the best and the brightest that he could find regardless of which party they voted for. As long as they did the job well, made money for Biomet, all was well. How do I know this? Over the last 25 years I have known many people who have worked there at all levels within the company. Now he wants you to disregard all the concerns that people have about Nisly's incompetence, his social awkwardness, and reward the simpleton with a job for the next two years. If this was a CEO job at Biomet and the final three candidates were Kolbe, Nisly and Stinfer, Curt Nisly would finish a distant third and David Kolbe would have the job. If we allow the extremist neo-confederate hate-filled Tea party led by Monica Boyer and company to control this election, Curt Nisly will win this election. If that happens your voice from your elected leader will be gone. He will be busy carrying the water for others in Indianapolis. Don't allow that to happen, vote for David Kolbe, vote for someone that will work for all of us. When you vote next week and you hire the next District 22 state representative, hire the best and the brightest. I think that most of us know who that is. Jennifer Arnold Mentone, via email
