Ronnie L. Tharp

Ronnie L. Tharp, 62, Goshen, and formerly of Warsaw and North Manchester, passed away at 11:41 a.m. May 8, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born Feb. 23, 1952, in Goshen, to Thomas William and Marie Tennant Tharp. He was a 1970 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. He was employed by Dexter Axle, Elkhart, as an engineer with 29 years of service. He loved to go for long drives, loved spending time with his family, children and grandchildren and looked at the Dexter employees as part of his family. Surviving are a daughter, Alicia (and spouse Travis) Coday, Syracuse; a son, Thaddeus Tharp, Warsaw; a sister, Sharon (and spouse Phil) Byrer, Atwood; four brothers: Paul (and spouse Deb), Glen (and spouse Peg) and Jim (and spouse Karen) Tharp, all of Warsaw; and Bob (and spouse Elizabeth) Tharp, Etna Green; and nine grandchildren: Olivia, Zach, Macie, Carter, Bryce, Brody, Brock, Sophie and Samantha. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Dick Sievers officiating. Burial is at Pleasant View Cemetery, Warsaw.
