A Warsaw woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision in La Porte County on Saturday.
According to a news release from the La Porte County Sheriff’s Department, at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the 2900 block of Fail Road regarding a personal injury crash.
The initial on-scene investigation determined a black 2014 Toyota, operated by Aaron D. Keehn, 38, of La Porte, was traveling north on Fail Road. A silver 2024 Kia, operated by John W. Pratt, 71, Warsaw, was traveling south on Fail Road.
The Toyota traveled left of center and collided with the Kia.
John W. Pratt suffered injuries and was transported to a regional hospital for treatment. A passenger in the Kia, identified as Lana L. Pratt, 77, Warsaw, was injured during the crash. She was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced dead.
Keehn suffered an upper body injury and was taken to a regional hospital for treatment.
Toxicology test results are pending, the release states. The investigation is ongoing and no further information was available.
Assisting the LCSD at the scene were La Porte County EMS, La Porte County Coroner’s Office, Kankakee Township Volunteer Fire Department, Hemi Auto and Towing, and Quick’s Towing.
