WINONA LAKE – Nancy Sue Peugh, 74, Winona Lake, passed away Sept. 28, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born June 17, 1942, in Akron, Ohio, to Delbert and LaVerna Ellen Davis Orndorf. On June 5, 1965, she was married to Roger Dennis Peugh, who survives in Winona Lake. They shared 51 years of marriage together.
She was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 27 years. She was a 1960 graduate of Ellet High School, Akron. She attended the University of Akron and was a 1965 graduate of Grace College in Winona Lake.
From 1969 to 1989 she was in Christian ministry in Germany. She returned in 1989 to Winona Lake, where she was an active member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church.
She was deeply involved in teaching English as a new language, had a deep love of music and was always interested in crafts. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and always a woman of prayer.
Along with her husband, she will be lovingly remembered by her three sons: Ryan (and wife Lynelle) Peugh, Montclair, Va.; Philip (and wife Rhonda) Peugh, Warsaw; and Lamar (and wife Dona) Peugh, Taiwan; and a daughter, Lynae (and husband Alf) Eherenman, Warsaw. She leaves behind 14 grandchildren: Isaac, Chapman, Levi, Silas, Solomon, Jedidiah, Asher, Sydney, Erin, Sara, Manasseh, Adeline, Forrest and Elise.
She was preceded by her parents and a granddaughter, Isabelle, in 2000.
A service celebrating Nancy’s life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, 1200 Kings Highway, Winona Lake, and officiated by pastors Bruce Barlow and Kip Cone. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
