Margaret E. Wineland, 83, of 2216 N. Point Drive, Warsaw, died at 5 a.m. June 8, 2008, in Mason Health and Rehab, Warsaw.
She was born May 28, 1925, in Akron, Ohio, to John and Margaret Schilling Baker. On June 20, 1961, in Ligonier, she married Firman Wineland, who died Oct. 15, 2000.
Moving to Warsaw from Van Nuys, Calif., in 1990, she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Pierceton, and Kosciusko County Mental Health Association Widowed to Widowed Program. She was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are two daughters, Pat Glad, Silver Lake, and Pam Colligan, Floyd Knobbs; two sons, Dennis Helman, Montery, and Terry E. Wineland, Fort Wayne; a stepdaughter, Connie Johnson, Albion; a sister, Mary Jane Petrowski, Zephyrhills, Fla.; her companion, Ed Ewing, Pierceton; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Wineland, and a granddaughter, Michele Long.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Baptist Church, Pierceton, with Pastor Jim Baughman officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Legion Circle, Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
No calling is planned.
