NORTH MANCHESTER – In a game that saw five players score in double figures, there wasn’t much doubt in a blowout win for Manchester High School’s varsity boys basketball team Saturday night as the host Squires defeated Whitko 82-59 in Three Rivers Conference action.

MERRILLVILLE – A second-half surge by the Merrillville Pirates proved too much for the Warsaw Tigers to overcome Saturday night.

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Grace College’s men’s basketball team picked up one of its biggest road victories of the season with an 84-78 upset of No. 22 Spring Arbor University on Saturday.

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – A massive performance from Brooke Sugg lifted Grace’s women’s basketball team over Spring Arbor on Saturday, 71-61.

MARION – Grace’s track and field team took on the first Crossroads League Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday.

Three Wrestlers Advance To State Meet For Wawasee; Moore Advances To State For Manchester

SYRACUSE – Despite a slow first half, the Wawasee Warriors defeated Goshen Saturday night in a boys basketball game. In the Northern Lakes Conference showdown, Wawasee won 51-48 over the RedHawks in overtime.

INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI held the annual girls swimming state championship on Saturday and the preliminaries on Friday at the famous Indiana University Natatorium. Manchester and Warsaw had swimmers in the event, but were unable to race in the finals. 

MADISONVILLE, Tenn. – The Grace College baseball team traveled to Hiwassee College to play its first doubleheader of the 2018 season.

Warsaw Community High School senior Liza Lewis has announced her intention to further her education and tennis career at Marian University.

AKRON – Tanner Trippiedi scored a game-high 25 points to lead Tippecanoe Valley to a 60-45 Three Rivers Conference boys basketball win over visiting North Miami Friday night.

Warsaw Reschedules Game, Dinner The Warsaw boys basketball game against Plymouth that was scheduled for Friday night has been rescheduled for Tuesday. The game, in which the winner is guaranteed at least a share of the Northern Lakes Conference championship, will follow a 6:15 p.m. JV tipoff.

SYRACUSE – The Wawasee Lady Warriors gymnastics team defeated Elkhart Central 106.650-105.475 Thursday night. The Lady Warriors had five “no falls” on the beam, helping lead to the win.

WINONA LAKE – After a highly-competitive first half, Grace College’s women’s basketball team faded on Wednesday in a 76-51 loss to No. 5 Marian University.

The Warsaw Lady Tigers gymnastics team finished second in a four-team event Wednesday night. Warsaw tallied 100 points, losing to Logansport, which earned a score of 102.

WINONA LAKE – The Grace College Lancers, said veteran coach Jim Kessler, have learned how to improve. What they haven't done, however, is learn how to win.

I don’t know if I think of myself as a leader in the fight to get kids to play more than one sport while they are in high school.

Middle School Girls Basketball

AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley boys swimming team competed in its final home meet on Monday evening, defeating Knox 114-55.

The Washington Hornets beat the previously unbeaten Sacred Heart Vikings 29-25 Monday night to win the girls championship of the Warsaw Elementary School City Tournament.
