WINONA LAKE – Grace College’s men’s basketball team wrapped up the 2018 season on a high note with a 103-92 win over Taylor on Saturday. The Lancers, who celebrated seniors Erik Bowen and Stephen Halstead after the game, secured the season sweep of the Trojans (16-14, 7-11 Crossroads League).

WINONA LAKE – In the regular season finale, Grace College’s women’s basketball team lost a tough 76-61 game to No. 16 Taylor University on Saturday.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Grace’s track and field team picked up plenty of hardware at the 2018 NCCAA National Indoor Championships, held at Cedarville.

WESTFIELD, Ind. — Grace’s Baseball team spent the weekend on the turf facilities at Grand Park. The Lancers played games against Concordia and Goshen.

Warsaw Community High School hosted the preliminary round of the boys swimming sectional Friday night. Swimmers had to finish in the top eight to qualify for today’s finals.

COLUMBIA CITY – The Manchester Squires went in to Friday night’s matchup having won seven of their last eight games. Meanwhile, the host Columbia City Eagles have been up-and-down as of late, suffering two separate three-game skids in their last eight contests.

AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings played their final home game of the season Friday night and saved their best for last.

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – Grace College's softball team started the 2018 season with a dynamic offensive display at Bethel (Tenn.).

WINONA LAKE – The Lakeland Christian Academy Cougars continued their late-season push and extended their win streak to three games Friday night with a 51-50 nonconference victory over the Oregon-Davis Bobcats.

WINONA LAKE – Tim Tebow spoke at Grace College’s Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center Friday morning to a near-capacity crowd. The 2007 Heisman Trophy winner, two-time Bowl Championship Series winner, NFL quarterback and minor league baseball player covered a wide range of topics during his hour-long speech.

HUNTINGTON – Reagan Atwood was the all-around winner Thursday night, as the Wawasee Lady Warriors beat Huntington North 105.1-104.2 in high school gymnastics action.

FORT WAYNE – The late-season momentum keeps building for Grace College’s women’s basketball team, as the Lady Lancers upset No. 25 St. Francis 74-67 in overtime Wednesday.

FORT WAYNE – Grace College’s men’s basketball team could not slow down the offensive firepower of No. 3 St. Francis on Wednesday and fell 99-81.

BOURBON – Triton High School senior Max Slusser has signed his letter of intent to play football at Trine University next fall.

MISHAWAKA – A slow start in the first quarter by Wawasee lifted Mishawaka to a win in boys basketball action. The Cavemen won 41-31 Wednesday night.

Originally scheduled for Friday, the outcome of Tuesday’s Northern Lakes Conference game with Plymouth was worth the wait for the Warsaw Tigers. Zach Riley made sure of it.

There is now an answer to the question that people have been asking: “Who will be the next coach of the Warsaw Tiger football program?” Bart Curtis.

Bart Curtis, Warsaw’s new head football coach, attended Tuesday night’s Warsaw Community Schools board meeting. He was accompanied by his wife Sara; daughter, Hannah; and one of his two sons, Michael, who teaches English at WCHS. His other son, Brian, was unable to attend.

AKRON – In a potential sectional preview, Tippecanoe Valley lost 53-37 to NorthWood Tuesday in nonconference boys basketball action. The Vikings (4-15) had trouble finding the bottom of the net from long range throughout the game. Hitting 6 of 25 shots from three-point distance during the contest, Valley was 1 of 15 at one point.

The Warsaw Lady Tiger gymnasts defeated Lakeland 100-91 on Tuesday. Remi Beckham won the all-around for Warsaw with a score of 34.850.
