NAPPANEE – The Wawasee Warriors closed their boys basketball season with a 53-43 loss to the Lakeland Lakers Tuesday in the opening round of Class 3A Sectional 21 at NorthWood High School.
CULVER – The Triton boys basketball team stopped a five-game losing skid Tuesday night with a 55-39 win over South Central in the opening round of Class 1A Sectional 51 at Culver Community High School.
The Tippecanoe Valley Aquatics Club is sending 11 swimmers to divisionals this weekend at the Helen P. Brown Natatorium, Fort Wayne.

The Warsaw Tigers didn’t get the bye in this week’s Class 4A sectional at historic North Side Gym in Elkhart. Coach Doug Ogle, however, believes his team got the next best thing.
AKRON – Forgive Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball coach Chad Patrick if he assumed his team would open Class 3A Sectional 21 by playing county rival Wawasee.
SYRACUSE – The Wawasee High School boys basketball team has had a familiar foe in the first round of the sectional on five occasions in the past seven years, but that trend is finally broken.
NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester boys basketball team is looking to do what no Squire team has done since 1995 – win a sectional championship.
SOUTH WHITLEY – Games aren’t won on paper, and that’s exactly what coach Eli Henson and his Whitko High School boys basketball team would like to prove this week.
BOURBON – The Triton high school boys basketball team was set to host Class 1A Sectional 51 and the regional. That all changed when a pipe burst and water damage to the gym floor forced a change of venue.
WINONA LAKE – When Chris Hohm took over the head coaching position at Lakeland Christian Academy in 2014, the team won three games the year before and had nowhere to go, but up.
SYRACUSE – Wawasee hosted the gymnastics sectional on Saturday. The Lady Warriors finished third at the event as a team and Warsaw ended fifth. Elkhart Central won the sectional.
