Hatch Qualifies For Wrestling National Championships

CRAWFORDSVILLE – Wabash College freshman and Warsaw alum Kyle Hatch has landed a spot to wrestle at the NCAA Division III National Championships in the 157-pound weight class. Hatch won the Central Region title this past weekend. He went 3-0 at the event, winning in the first round by a technical fault and the semifinal round after a 12-2 major decision. In the championship bout, Hatch won with a pin in 4:13.

Hatch has a 31-2 record this season, leading the team with 17 pins. He is seventh in the country with 4.67 average team points per match. 

The DIII National Championship Tournament will take place on March 9-10 at the Cleveland Public Auditorium.

Wawasee Moves Track Meet Location

SYRACUSE – Wawasee track & field is moving the March 13 meet to East Noble. The Warriors are changing the location due to work being done to the throwing area and are unsure if the venue would be ready in time for competition. The meet will begin at 5 p.m.
