Last year, the Warsaw and Concord football teams played two of the best games in all of the Michiana football season. On Friday night, the two sides met again for their first meeting of 2025. This one did not have the drama that last year’s clashes did, as the Minutemen dominated the second half en route to a 38-7 win to spoil the Tiger homecoming.
It’s been a long time since the Warsaw volleyball team was thoroughly tested in Northern Lakes Conference play, but Thursday night’s match against rival Plymouth gave the Lady Tigers exactly that. Each point was a war, and the Lady Pilgrims rose from the dead on numerous occasions to make Warsaw work for everything. In the end, the Lady Tigers were able to find a way to finish the job in a 3-1 win.

Looking to put last week’s tough loss to Bluffton behind them, the Manchester football team refocused on Three Rivers Conference play with a home contest against Wabash on Friday. A big first quarter by the Squires was the key as the team went up by multiple scores early and didn’t look back. By the time the Apaches were able to get going, it was far too late. Manchester remains undefeated in the TRC after winning 47-19.
A week after suffering a disappointing first loss of the season in the home opener to Warren Central, the Warsaw football team went back on the road and got back into the win column. The Tigers headed to Goshen to take on the RedHawks and came away with a 37-7 win for a victory in the team’s Northern Lakes Conference opener.
Last year’s contest between the Lakeland Christian and Wawasee boys soccer teams was one of the more entertaining matches of the fall, with the Cougars erasing a three goal lead in the final 10 minutes to steal a victory over the Warriors. Thursday evening, the two teams met again, but this match was much less eventful as LCA cruised to a 3-0 victory.
