Norman Wayne Coffman, Saugatuck, Mich., passed away at his son’s residence in Winona Lake at 12:47 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at the age of 83. He was born Aug. 5, 1934, in Battle Creek, Mich., to Clifton Wayne Coffman and Rhea Mae Olmstead Coffman. Norman was a 1954 graduate of Howe Military Academy in Howe, then attended the University of Toledo in Ohio. He joined the U.S. Army in 1956 and was stationed in Germany until his honorable discharge in 1960.
Linda Sue Music, 70, Warsaw, passed away at 2:24 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2018, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born Sept. 28, 1947; she was preceded in death by her parents, William and Louise Coldren, and her eldest sibling, Gwendolyn. She is survived by her sister, Rita Soberg; her brothers, Roger (and Judy) Coldren and Ron (and Jeanne) Coldren; and her son, Matt, and daughter, Gwen.
Robert Busch, 90, Dewart Lake, Syracuse, passed away at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at home. He was born June 25, 1927, the son of Oliver and Margaret Dubuque Busch in Logansport. On Oct. 15, 1948, he married Betty A. Adams. Survivors include his wife of nearly 70 years, Betty Busch, Syracuse; seven children: Christopher (Mary) Busch, Plainfield; John (Brenda) Busch, Syracuse; Nathan Busch, Minneapolis, Minn.; Calvin Busch, Lawrenceville, Ill.; Rebecca (Daniel) Tusing, Syracuse; Roberta (Roger Rump) Busch, Tucson, Ariz.; and Randolph (Tonja) Busch, Syracuse; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mariano Marquez Nuñez, 62, Warsaw, died at his residence at 2:32 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018. He was born Sept. 12, 1955, in Salvatierra, Guanajuato, Mexico, to J. Trinidad Marquez and Maria De La Luz Nuñez. He was married on May 6, 1977, to Maria del Carmen Aranda Ugalde, who survives.
Beverly Anne Hopper, 85, Winona Lake, died at 2:14 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Grace Village Health Care. She was born Oct. 27, 1932, in Angola, to Carl Leo and Hazel Bryan Barnhart. In September 1951 she was married to James Corliss Hopper, who preceded her in death.
Larry Duane Richardson, 61, Warsaw, died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born June 3, 1956, in Warsaw, to William “Bill” and Mary Ann Haywood Richardson. He was married on July 13, 1989, to JoAnn Williams, who survives.
Rita K. Kimberlin, 54, Warsaw, died Sunday, March 25, 2018, at her residence. She was born Nov. 9, 1963, in Lawrence County, Ky., to Ray and Ida Jackson Kimberlin. In June 1996 she started a relationship with Tom Hopkins that continued until her passing.

Ralph J. Myers, 88, longtime Warsaw resident, died at 5:05 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
Mack L. Fetters, Bourbon, passed away March 27, 2018. Mack, the son of Lester and Ruth Fetters, was born and raised in Bourbon, where he lived his entire life. After graduating from Bourbon High School in 1945, Mack married the love of his life, Melba Koontz, on Easter Sunday, March 25, 1951. They celebrated their 67th anniversary just last Sunday.
Beverly Jane Stieglitz, 90, Warsaw, died at 4:07 a.m. March 25, 2018, in Mason Health Care Center, Warsaw. She was born Aug. 19, 1927, in Leesburg, to Wilbur O. and Mildred Stookey Klopenstein. She was married to Adolph Stieglitz in June 1950 in New Salem Church of the Brethren, Kosciusko County. He passed away in May 1977.
Ilean Rose Weiger, 94, rural Tippecanoe, died at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester. She was born Nov. 25, 1923, in Argos, to Roy and Bessie Simington Griewank. On July 7, 1943, in Plymouth, she was married to Verne E. Weiger, who died Dec. 30, 1998.

Jason “Mikey” Peterson passed away unexpectedly at 11:37 a.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018, at his home in Warsaw. The funny, creative father of two was 37 at the time of his death. Jason was born Sept. 20, 1980, in Warsaw and had attended Whitko Schools. He worked for KGP Logistics and for Pierceton Welding as a metal fabricator.
Larry T. Hartzler, 84, rural Akron, died at 11:04 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2018, at Vibra Hospital, Fort Wayne, as a result of a traumatic fall at his home on March 2. He was born Jan. 18, 1934, in Miami County, to Lester “Joe” and Helen Marie Thompson Hartzler. On July 27, 1951, in Disko, he was married to Beverly A. Pearson. She survives. Larry was a lifetime farmer. He was a school bus driver and owned and operated Hartzler Excavating, where he did ditching, septics, tiling, and hauling dirt and limestone. Also in earlier years he operated an egg route in the area.
Keeman “Kim” W. Lobsiger, 65, retired area high school principal residing in Columbia City, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at his home. He was born Sept. 18, 1952, in Decatur, a son of Jerold W. and Marlene Fuhrer Lobsiger. His formative years were spent in Decatur. He graduated from Bellmont High School. He continued his education at Manchester College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in education. Later, he earned a Master of School Administration from Indiana University.
Marjorie L. Sincroft, 94, North Manchester, died at 1:05 p.m. March 26, 2018, in her residence. She was born April 11, 1923, in North Manchester, to Hazen and Marion Gleason Lautzenhiser. She was married to Eldon Sincroft on Dec. 20, 1941. He died Jan. 11, 2009.
Carol Marie Surface Simcox, 65, Columbia City, formerly of Warsaw, passed on Sunday, March 25, 2018. Born on June 29, 1952, Carol was the dear sister of the late Sandra (Walt) Brown and Frances (Ron) Wendall. Carol was the loving mother of Leslie (Tim) Fountain, Anthony (Pamela) Simcox, Stephen (Stephanie) Simcox, Matthew Simcox and Scottie Simcox, and proud grandmother of Anthony, Kobra-Lee, Makenna, Vyper-Ray, Angel-Rue, Jubilee and Christian.

Billy Ray Wadkins, 66, Silver Lake, passed away at 7:01 a.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018, in Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. He was born April 9, 1951, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to George and Alma Robinson Wadkins. On Sept. 28, 1968, he was united in marriage to Donna Gillman, who survives. He worked in the agriculture industry for Creighton Brothers, retiring in 2014.
Randall “Randy” Ray Piper, Warsaw, passed away Feb. 13, 2018, after a 15-month battle with lymphoma at the age of 67. He was born Nov. 15, 1950, to V. Ray and Rosemary Spangle Piper, along with his twin brother, Rodney, in Wabash. Randy never stopped smiling. Known for his contagious laugh and rock-n-roll attitude, Randy will live in the hearts of all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.
Connie Joann Ramsey Rutherford, 53, Rochester, formerly of Akron, died at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018, at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, surrounded by her family after many years of struggle with multiple sclerosis. She was born May 13, 1964, in Rochester, to James and Connie Jo Singpiel Ramsey. She was a homemaker and had worked at Arter’s Drug Store, Akron.
Katherine Calhoun, 75, a resident of Warsaw for the past 60 years, passed away at Parkview Regional Medical Center at 3:46 a.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018. Katherine was born in Watergap, Ky., on Sept. 17, 1942. She was one of 11 children and the daughter of Jay and Mollie Hall Shepherd. She attended school in Kentucky and would eventually find herself moving to Pierceton before settling in Warsaw.
