AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation Board of Trustees announced possible raises in teacher salaries at a special board meeting Monday, Oct. 5.
TVSC Superintendent Blaine Conley announced negotiations between the Board of School Trustees and the Tippecanoe Valley Classroom Teachers’ Association culminated in a tentative agreement for teachers’ raises. Conley stated the terms of the 2026-27 tentative agreement were as follows:
Teachers holding a bachelor’s of science degree will receive the following raises:
• For one year of experience, a $1,000 increase on the scale.
• For two to three years of experience, a $1,100 increase on the scale.
• For four to 19-plus years of experience, a $1,200 increase on the scale.
Teachers holding a bachelor’s of science degree at the top of the scale will receive a $750 stipend.
Teachers holding a master’s of science degree will receive the following raises:
• For one year of experience, a $1,300 increase on the scale.
• For two to three years of experience, a $1,400 increase on the scale.
• For four to 10 years of experience, a $1,500 increase on the scale.
• For 11 to 23-plus years of experience, a $1,600 increase on the scale.
Teachers holding a master’s of science degree at the top of the scale will receive a $1,100 stipend.
Each teacher who qualifies to make a lane change on the salary schedule will make that lane change, and each teacher who earned a reading literacy endorsement will receive an additional $200 on their base salary.
The range for teachers’ base salaries is $46,000 to $81,500.
Conley stated his appreciation for the “positive negotiations” with the Tippecanoe Valley Classroom Teachers’ Association.
“We appreciate the fact that you guys have provided those raises each and every year,” Conley said. “The teachers are coming back with more pay than they made the previous year.”
The special meeting was held to comply with state statutory obligations, in which school corporations publicly provide the tentative agreement reached.
