Editor, Times-Union:I am a candidate for District 22, Indiana House of Representatives. I appreciate, again, the chance to express my point of view and what action I would take on important legislation.

Editor, Times-Union:Do you know trash pickup in this town sucks?

- Not So Different - Illegals Not So Different Editor, Times-Union: I am writing in response to Michael C.Mahan's Letter on April 11. He stated that the 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S.should not believe that they are entitled to benefits of any kind.Well, their entitlement comes from the fact that on their check stubs that they receive from work say the same thing that yours does, Mr.Mahan, that both state, federal and SSI taxes are being taken out of their gross pay, also.They also file their tax return before April 15 every year just like you do, Mr.Mahan, with an ITIN.

Editor, Times-Union:Jack Wilhite and I have served together for over 40 years in various capacities for our church, which is now meeting under the “Blue Roof” on Ranch Road.

Editor, Times-Union:This is to Pam Crace, who responded to my letter regarding the 12-year-old girl featured prominently on the front page of the Times-Union this past week.

Editor, Times-Union:There is a saying that goes something as, be careful of the stones you throw if you live in a glass house.

Editor, Times-Union:I feel I would not be doing my duty as a resident on Parent Drive (the street behind Walmart) if I didn't write about the dangerous problem existing on our street.

Editor, Times-Union:I have been watching the District 22 State Representative race for the past year and decided to get involved when I met Mr. Nisly in January, after hearing him speak about his passion for life, liberty, and limited government.

Editor, Times-Union:I am writing about a rather strange phenomenon in our back lawn and in our neighbors' front lawn.

Editor, Times-Union: I wonder if Tom Metzger joined the “Right to Work” movement before, during or after his elevation to “Grand Dragon” of the Ku Klux Klan?

Editor, Times-Union:By many of my fellow readers standards, my 28 years of life as an American citizen is not long enough to justify my thoughts, but I can no longer sit idle and watch the America that I was raised to believe in vanish. I do this for my two young sons, who know nothing of what I am writing, and again, I hope, do not have to live it.

Editor, Times-Union:I keep hearing politicians and tax slaves cry about a money problem. So-called lawmakers in Indianapolis were crowing about how now that they got their Right To Work cheap laws in it will be smooth sailing. How they are passing new laws like mad and the two organized crime parties are getting along so well.

Editor, Times-Union:I read with interest – and surprise – of the latest round of mud-slinging in the county commissioner race.
