Editor, Times-Union:Federal and state governments must soon begin planning and developing systems to implement the expansion of Medicaid for low-income adults, as prescribed in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Consequently, states will have to establish enrollment and coordination procedures, determine benefit packages and update arrangements with providers.

The first is General Thaddeus Kosciuszko, 18th century champion of liberty.The second is Karol Wojtyla, the late Pope John Paul II, 20th century hero of freedom. - Evolution - Roemer Responds - EDIT Evolution Editor, Times-Union: So now we can blame almost anything that's gone wrong on the evolutionists.At least that's pretty much what Larry Hunter said in his letter to the editor on Oct.6. These people - the evolutionists, or people who consider evolution to be a possibility - lack compassion, have questionable ethics, have little regard for their parents or children (if they have any) are lustful and greedy, they are god-less - without hope, are inconsiderate and finally probably not appalled by abortion. How does one conclude that because someone may not accept creationism that that person has rejected God, and has few, if any, qualities of merit? It would be interesting to learn the source of information from which Mr.Hunter drew his conclusions.

Editor, Times-Union:There they go at 40 to 50 miles per hour despite the sign that says “Speeding Max $1,000. Reckless Driving Max 8 years.” They can’t read the sign or they laugh because they know they wont get a speeding ticket since there are deputies around. The road is posted 30 mph. Even some of the school buses go speeding by. I don’t care what street, road or highway you are driving on, if you drive the posted speed limit you’re going to be passed.
