Editor, Times-Union:No one should have to be in fear of losing their job for standing up for the law ...

Editor, Times-Union:What has happened to the beaches in Warsaw? Why are they open to the public in such disgusting condition?

Editor, Times-Union:I must commend the action taken by the City of Warsaw in collaboration with OrthoWorx to fund this area’s portion of the passenger rail system study for the Ohio to Chicago line.

- 'Special' People - Appropriation - Corruption - Recycling - Barbee Sewers - Dismayed By Article - Heartless Theft 'Special' People Editor, Times-Union: In the past I have read about the special people in Warsaw.I would also like to recognize some "special" people in Warsaw.

This is the most complacent community I have ever seen. What happened to community spirit? Without sports, that is.Oops, asked and answered. Let's look at what's going on here. The school board hired an architectural firm from Indianapolis - Odle, McGuire & Shook - to study Silver Lake, Jefferson, Claypool and Atwood schools. They also asked for estimates on an auditorium and performing arts center, football stadium and track (or outdoor PE facility, depending on your preference) at Warsaw Community High School, and a new elementary school building. School superintendent Dr.Lee Harman came out with his recommendations based on the OMS report. He said the board should: ¥ Close Silver Lake Elementary and renovate Claypool Elementary (at a cost of $9.03 million), then bus the Silver Lake students to Claypool, which also could take the overflow students from Jefferson and Eisenhower.

Editor, Times-Union:Oops! I apologize for the error of attempting to alert Warsonians of felons in their neighborhoods.

- Tippy Valley - Catholics - Field Trips - KABS Tippy Valley Editor, Times-Union: I would like to take this time to clear up a misconception as well as elaborate on a few things concerning the TVSC and TVMS. First of all, as I said, my son was being a disruption in school. But I also said that his biggest problem is that he is a follower, not a leader, and until the problem is addressed as a whole by all parents and teachers and administrators working as a team, then it is hard for some of us who care to help. It's time we let these kids know that we are going to take control and take our school back. When I shadowed my son on Friday at school I didn't know what to expect. What I saw was totally disgusting.I saw absolutely no respect for the teachers or other students.

Editor, Times-Union:This is to address the people who want to support Doug Ogle, and say they can't figure out what he's done wrong.

Editor, Times-Union:As the primary approaches, we are constantly bombarded with messages extolling a need for change.

- Judging - County Salaries - Social Securities Judging Editor, Times-Union: David Slone's article in the December 15 Times-Union led me to make the following comments. In his reference to the passage in John Chapter 7, verse 1, you will find that upon reading the whole chapter it tells us to judge rightly but not to avoid judging altogether. Then there was mention of Jesus teaching not to throw the first stone and again this was taken out of context, because the elite of his day were making a venomous attack upon him and he simply thwarted their vicious attempt to trick him.

Editor, Times-Union:I think it is really, really shameful how some individuals, including those who write letters for Times-Union...

Editor, Times-Union:I am opposed to a national health insurance for all citizens, a so-called one-payer system.

Editor, Times-Union:The revelation of truth in salaries is not a “brilliant political move” as has been stated in an earlier letter to this paper, rather it is exactly that – the revealing of truth.

Editor, Times-Union:I am writing you about a problem I am attempting to resolve with the city-owned Oakwood Cemetery and the Warsaw city attorney, Mike Valentine. I have made repeated phone calls to Mr. Valentine to discuss this with him.

- Local Republicans - 'Rocky': A Role Model - Wayne Trustee - Whitaker: A Good Man - Whitaker Is Best Choice - Vote On May 2 - Whitaker Qualified - Slone Wants Your Vote - Supports Slone Local Republicans Editor, Times-Union: Is the local GOP falling from grace as implied by one of their own? I really am curious as to what Mac might have to say about this topic.

Editor, Times-Union:Was it the Associated Press or the Times-Union that developed the headline on page 3B Tuesday that reads "Reborn Harvick Proves His Metal With Daytona Win"

Editor, Times-Union:An open letter to area and state legislators:

Editor, Times-Union: It is truly gratifying when a bill I author becomes law, and even more gratifying when that law has an immediate and compelling impact on my district and the State of Indiana.

- Trading Freedoms - Great Photo - Making Amends - Good Samaritan - Optometry Career - Searching For Mother - Gift Of Sight Trading Freedoms Editor, Times-Union: The following was taken from the Warsaw Daily Times on Wednesday, August 25, 1948.W.G.Vollmer, president of the Texas and Pacific Railroad, touched on some important points. These points ring as true today as they did some 55 years ago.

Editor, Times-Union:The inefficient, confiscatory and discriminatory property tax must go. If the property tax were done away with, state income taxes would only be increased moderately in Indiana.

Editor, Times-Union:Congratulations to the newly elected Silver Lake Town Council members, and thank you to the other candidates for running.

Editor, Times-Union: The liberal defenders of the Ground Zero Mosque usually make three claims.

- Cost Of Living - New Central Park Sign - Wyoming Moved? - Oakwood Cemetery Cost Of Living Editor, Times-Union: It looks like all of the complaints concerning the high gas prices in Warsaw have been taken care of and coincide with other cities such as Elkhart, Goshen, Milford, Syracuse and Leesburg and are identical in prices at the pumps for 87 at $1.13.9 for regular unleaded gas.

Editor, Times-Union:Ms. Gooding, in her letter to the editor published 7.11.12, was well written and accurately described the numerous contributions made to our community by Dr. and Mrs. Dane Miller. Thus, from that point of view, I have no contest with her letter.
