Oops! I apologize for the error of attempting to alert Warsonians of felons in their neighborhoods. The Internet does have some hoaxes, but usually I am alerted to them prior to press time. I am used to California law where you can go on the Internet and find felons in your neighborhood, primarily child molesters. It's quite a simple operation run by the state.
Several years ago I was made aware that a two-time convicted child molester was being paroled quietly to a neighborhood full of little kids. I printed up some posters and put them all over Fallbrook, Calif. The citizens once made aware of the problem rose up in anger and the parole people changed their plans.
A couple of years later, a black female city employee was brutally murdered. The murder took place 20 miles west of Fallbrook at Oceanside, Calif. The city government did not make other employees aware of the predator threat was working beside them.
Guess what? The felon molester that I caused to be secretly moved to Oceanside was the murderer. Did I save a life in my community? No one will ever know.
The moral of the story is that I will be glad to accept the "jokes on you" award if there would be any chance I could stop a neighbor from being a victim.
