Editor, Times-Union:A year or so ago I offered $1,000 to anyone who could show me where the Constitution of the U.S. contains a separation of church and state. It isn’t there.

Editor, Times-Union:It has been an honor to serve as the State Representative for the people of House District 22.

- Ag Day A Time To Marvel At Agriculture's Progress - Keep Rest Area Open Ag Day A Time To Marvel At Agriculture's Progress SubmiWhen we walk through the aisles at a grocery store or study the many choices on a restaurant menu, we seldom think about how the food got there. Behind every package and every entre is an agricultural and food production system that represents 16 percent of our gross domestic product and employs more than 15 percent of the U.S.population.On National Ag Day, the first day of spring, we paid tribute to those who deliver us the safest, freshest, highest quality and most abundant food supply of any country in the world.

Editor, Times-Union:As the election draws near, there is much written and spoke of regarding our freedom and the principles on which our country was founded.

Editor, Times-Union:After returning from a class in Nashville, Tenn., I read the article entitled "No Decision on Tiger Coach's Fate" with great interest.

Editor, Times-Union:Recently, I dropped off a copy of HR-1955 to the T.U. editor. A bill voted on by our Congress. All but six voted for it.

Editor, Times-Union:My family and I relocated to Warsaw 32 years ago from Illinois where negative campaigning is the norm.

Editor, Times-Union:When I was young and naive (21) I worked for Douglas Aircraft Co. in California.

- Speeding Drivers - Daylight-Saving Time - Juveniles And Crime Speeding Drivers Editor, Times-Union: I agree with Mister Kitson on his letters about the morons speeding around Warsaw and the surrounding country roads.Maybe they just got their attention on their cell phone and don't have the foggiest idea what they are doing.Throw out the Daylight-Saving bill and add one for the cell phone morons.Heaven forbid you miss a call. David Sawesky Sr.

Editor, Times-Union:We, the staff of the Animal Welfare League, would like to respond to recent letters to the editor. Unfortunately, many of the people writing letters have not been to the shelter in quite a while to see all the improvements.

Editor, Times-Union:I took this from a Facebook feed, just information for us to think about: I read it and forgot most of it already, that's old age for you.

Editor, Times-Union:Plastic caps, often a nuisance in the recycling business, got a chance to take a different path this winter.

Editor, Times-Union:This is the second part of my explanation of the religious freedom principle that I developed, which was printed in the March 25 and April 9 editions of the Times-Union.

Editor, Times-Union:Someone needs to do a story on why we are only doing a select few lakes in the area and not all of them.

Editor, Times-Union: Earlier this week, jury selection began in the case of former MLB pitcher Roger Clemens. The Congress is prosecuting him for lying to them about whether or not he took steroids or other performance enhancers during his active playing years. Why Congress got involved in MLB business in the first place is ridiculous. But, lying to Congress, by statute, apparently is worse than committing perjury in other judicial venues so off to D.C. he goes to defend himself.

Editor, Times-Union:Twelve dead soldiers and 31 shot.

Editor, Times-Union:Do you know of any government programs that have worked the way the government said they would work?Perry HathawayClaypool

- Not All Nursing Homes Substandard Not All Nursing Homes Substandard Editor, Times-Union: The Senate Aging Committee has scheduled a hearing on poor nursing home care this week. The hearing will focus on the General Accounting Office follow-up investigation to allegations that several California nursing facilities provided abnormal care to their residents. The GAO will be issuing a report titled, "Betrayal: The Quality of Care in California Nursing Homes."The intent of this report is, no doubt, to cast a bad light on every nursing home. At this point, we would urge the good people of Warsaw to bear in mind the following: 1.Don't judge all nursing homes on the basis of a few.The GAO report is based on investigation of a few homes in California; it is not reflective of the entire industry.

Editor, Times-Union:First off, I'm very unhappy with our town board members and this Mr. Julian.
