Sewer Districts

Editor, Times-Union:

Someone needs to do a story on why we are only doing a select few lakes in the area and not all of them. Connected to the Barbee chain is Ridinger Lake and the Tippy lakes.

If we are really worried about water quality, we should be worried about all of our lakes, every one mentioned above, the Chapman lakes and Dewart Lake.

Why would we only fix part of the problem? They all have about the same population density so they should all have the same problem, right?

I challenge our county council and commissioners to do the right thing and provide all of the people living on the lakes with safe good quality water. Oh, and by the way, it does not matter how much it costs, you live on a lake for goodness sakes. If you can not afford it, then sell your home and live somewhere else.

We paid for the engineering plans once, we debated it for many, many years and, in the end, the majority of the people voted it down. Pay attention, government, for some reason the people really seem not to want this sewer.
