Editor, Times-Union:I am writing today about the lack of good service at our local food establishments. I will not name the restaurants that I speak of, but I am sure that many of you have witnessed or even been a victim of such shoddy service. Whatever happened to serving the customer?

Editor, Times-Union:Mr. Obama, you've had quite a first year. You've divided our country, taken over Wall Street, banks and automobile companies.

Editor, Times-Union:I have two more years remaining in my term as your county councilman at-large, so I am not running for office this year, but I have been watching the other election campaigns.

Editor, Times-Union:Mom was the one who was always at home cooking, sewing and styling hair. Dad just went to work every day on the farm or was out selling fertilizers, tractors or appliances to earn a good living.

Editor, Times-Union: Last Wednesday on the front page of the Times-Union there was an article titled “Indiana Senators Consider ‘Right-To-Farm’ Bill,” however, I believe a better caption would have been “Indiana Senators Consider ‘Right-To-Pollute’ Bill.” Basically, what this bill is trying to do is make it difficult for people to sue these profiteers for destroying their environment, consequently it is called a “Right To Farm Bill.”

Editor, Times-Union:I worked on Dan Coats' very first campaign many years ago but this is not the same person.

Editor, Times-Union:I am writing in support of Christie Gale for the district 4 school board position. Christie moved to Warsaw and immediately embraced the school community. When a school board position opened in 2011, she eagerly pursued the opportunity to become even more involved with the education of the children in our town.

Editor, Times-Union:One of my quotes was misquoted in Tuesday's paper, so here it is again: "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Editor, Times-Union:After reading the last couple of articles concerning Jerry Clase and allegations of animal abuse, it has become clear that people have clearly forgotten his title of animal control officer.

Editor, Times-Union:USA as a haven for immigrants from Europe, mostly Caucasians, 200 years ago, worked just fine.

Editor, Times-Union:The Indiana State Coroner's Training Board was established by the Indiana General Assembly in 1994.

Editor, Times-Union:The attacks on Trayvon’s reputation in the media are disgraceful, and disrespectful to his memory and his mourning family.

My car doesn't get very good gas mileage. I'm usually lucky to get 200 miles on 13 to 15 gallons of gas. That's only about 13 miles to the gallon, in town.If I drive on U.S.31 down to Indianapolis at the same constant speed, without stopping, my gas mileage is somewhat better. My 1982 Plymouth Gran Fury, bright red, has a huge engine and a steel frame. It's a relatively cool car and used to belong to a fire marshal. The 1987 yellow Chevy Celebrity I wrecked in '97 got a lot better gas mileage though. Now that gas prices have sunk to 70 cents per gallon at several service stations, I don't mind filling my car up every time I stop at a station - which I seem to constantly be doing. And I make sure to drive to the nearest gas station with the cheapest quality gas.

Editor, Times-Union:I am a new cashier for a large retail store in Warsaw. This is my first job that involves money-handling, so I am inexperienced and somewhat nervous.

Editor, Times-Union:The Bush-Obama-McCain-Bailout - the B.O.M.B. - is being force-fed to the American people through a continual barrage of scare tactics and doom-and-gloom scenarios. This reminds me of the lead-up to the invasion of Iraq.

Editor, Times-Union:I am writing this letter to express my support of Randy Polston’s campaign for the school board seat in District 4.

Editor, Times-Union:More restless natives.

Editor, Times-Union: Since April, and really my entire life, I have spent countless hours volunteering for various organizations, churches, politicians and on the list could go

Editor, Times-Union:Goldman Sachs Group Inc. will pay $67 million and Bain Capital Partners LLC will pay $54 million to settle their portions of a lawsuit accusing several big private equity firms of conspiring not to outbid each other in takeovers.

Editor, Times-Union:Legacy, what are we talking about?

Editor, Times-Union:Sectional Ticket ... $5Regional Ticket ... $6
