She was born Oct. 1, 1929, on 14th Street, Larenceville, Ill., to Neal and Hattie Dasch. On May 21, 1950, she married Porter William Polston, who died April 15, 2000. In 1953, they left Illinois and moved to Winona Lake to work for the Free Methodist Publishing House. Throughout her life, besides raising four very active children, she was a bank teller, in the offices of Kosciusko Community Hospital and the Warsaw Community School System. Prior to retiring, she worked for the City of Warsaw and served the city through the city planners office, assisting in the mayor’s office and served on committees as called upon. The most important job she and dad had was raising their four children in understanding faith, love, service, grace and mercy. She was a prayer warrior in every sense of the word. Her family were all blessed at the end of her earthly journey to witness the power of their Eternal Heavenly Father and His angels that ministered to her spirit. The family misses her, Dad and Terry, but will see you again never to be parted. Heavenly Father, as a family, thank you for their mother. They know she is home. To you all glory, praise and honor. Those who remain and will deeply miss her are her children: Bonnie Polston Andrew and Mary Polston both of Winona Lake, and Randy (and spouse Rachael) Polston and Connie (and spouse Fred) Jetter, all Warsaw; grandchildren: Barry (and spouse Joye) Andrew, and Ryan (and spouse Jaimi) Andrew, all of Winona Lake; Darrin Andrew, Auburn, Mich.; Tiffany (and spouse Alex) Smith and Nate (and spouse Krista) Polston, all of Warsaw; Chris and Courtney Erick, Indianapolis; Justin (and spouse Sharissa) Polston, Pierceton; Jeff Jetter (and fiance Casie Dinn) and Zach Jetter, all of Bloomington; and great-grandchildren: Tate, Reid, Max and Kaden, all of Winona Lake; London, Warsaw; Clover and Connor, Indianapolis; and Brecken, Pierceton; Ava, Bloomington. She also was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Terry, who died Dec. 2, 2008. In her final days, she joyfully anticipated seeing her Savior, husband and son. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Jeff Pfeifer of Warsaw Community Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. ***** Memorials may be made to the Kosciusko County Community Foundation designated to the Sgt. Terry Polston Memorial Fund, 102 E.
