Wacław “Adam” Adamczyk, a beloved husband, father and cherished member of the Warsaw community, passed away peacefully on Oct. 4, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family.
Adam’s life was a journey of quiet determination and resilience, throughout which he carried a deep devotion to the people he loved. He was born on Oct. 8, 1952, in Cieszyn, Poland. He grew up with a boundless curiosity about the world around him — pursuing this passion at the University of Agricultural Academy in Krakow, and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture and Animal Science. It was during his university years that he met the love of his life —Maria. The two were united in marriage on Aug. 24, 1974, embarking on a beautiful journey that spanned over 52 years.
His unique educational background opened the door to a life-changing opportunity: a 4-H exchange program at Creighton Brothers in Warsaw. After this experience he was later hired full-time. Adam eventually transitioned into industry, utilizing his strong chemistry background at BASF and Flint Ink, where he supported vital ink manufacturing operations for RR Donnelley.
In 1987, Adam's family immigrated to Warsaw, creating a true home together. While Adam deeply loved America and the welcoming community of Warsaw, he never lost touch with his Polish roots. He carried the enduring values of his homeland throughout his life, and he proudly celebrated his heritage.
Adam had a lifelong love for astronomy. As a high school student in Poland, he was so captivated by the first moon landing that he wrote a letter to the NASA Apollo 11 crew —and much to his surprise, they sent him a response along with an autographed picture of the entire crew. He was an avid reader who amassed an extensive book library, which included over a century’s worth of National Geographic magazines.
He also loved spending time in the garden, working hand-in-hand with his wife Maria to tend to their beautiful outdoor space.
Those who knew him will fondly remember his quick wit, sharp sense of humor and his unwavering belief in doing what is right.
A devout man of faith, Adam was a dedicated member and usher at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his cherished younger daughter, Katarzyna Przybylska.
Adam’s legacy of love and resilience lives on in his surviving family, including his beloved wife, Maria Adamczyk; and his daughter, Anna Adamczyk, her husband, Pieter Jagersma; and Adam’s grandchildren: Sarantos Charakas, Adam Przybylski, Izabela Przybylska and Kristopher Przybylski. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and neighbors, but his memory will continue to shine brightly in the community he so proudly called home.
The family plans to bring loved ones and friends together to remember and honor Adam at a later date.
Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
