Adam Lee Overmeyer, 47, of North Webster, passed away at home on Oct. 5, 2026.
Born on Nov. 20, 1978, Adam lived a life marked by laughter and a genuine desire to make the people around him feel happy and loved.
Adam built a life shaped by recovery and by the strength that journey often requires. That part of his story stood as a meaningful milestone, reflecting perseverance and the determination to keep moving forward. Those who knew Adam will remember not only what he faced, but the way he chose to live: with openness, humor and a spirit that brought light into everyday moments.
He was loving, generous, creative, full of adventure and humor. These were not just words that described him; they were the qualities that came through in the way he spent his time and showed up for the people around him. Adam had a gift for making life feel fun and happy, and he brought that energy into the lives of the people he loved. He was especially known for always playing jokes on those close to him. His sense of humor and easygoing presence left a lasting impression on family and friends alike.
Adam loved traveling, hiking and adventuring with his girls. He found joy in life at the lake, where he could slow down, enjoy the beauty of the water and watch the sunsets and sunrises he loved so much. He also enjoyed woodworking and creating, finding satisfaction in working with his hands and bringing something new into the world. He loved spending time playing with his dog, Floki, and bringing him along for any and every adventure.
Adam’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his parents, Rebecca Foerch and Daryl Overmeyer; his sister, Lori Overmeyer; his daughters: Madysen (Daniel) Jacobs, Abbigail Overmeyer, Sidney Overmeyer and Allex (Benjamin) Gault; his grandchildren: Josaphine, Jon, Joslyn and Henry; and his niece, Rachelle (Justin) Teel; and nephews, Noah Dickerson and Bryce Gagnon; along with his great-niece Eloise. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert “Andy” Overmeyer. His love for them was the core of who he was, and the memories he created with them will continue to be cherished. Though his time here ended too soon, the laughter, love, and energy he shared will remain with those who knew him.
Those who loved Adam will remember a man who embraced life with heart and humor, who wanted others to smile and who gave freely of himself in ways both big and small. His life was one of movement, creativity and affection, and it will be remembered with gratitude and love. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
Adam’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Fellowship Missions and the Kosciusko Community Recovery Program for the compassion, encouragement and support they provided throughout his recovery journey. The people within these organizations played a meaningful role in Adam’s life. His family will always be grateful for the kindness shown to Adam and for the positive impact they had on his journey.
