William David England, 83, Warsaw, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Feb. 24, 2014, at Grace Village Health Care of Winona Lake.
He was born April 22, 1930, in Sparta, Tenn., to Jeff and Rosha Luna England. He was married to Florence England, who died in 1977. On March 18, 1978, he married Gloria Mary Motoc, who survives in Warsaw.
He served in the U.S. Army, being on active duty from 1951-1953 during the Korean Conflict. After his service he worked on hydraulic pumps for Sperry Vickers in Troy, Mich., retiring in 1990. He was a resident of Kosciusko County since 1992, where he was a member of Warsaw Wesleyan Church as well as a Sunday school teacher, and at one time was the church treasurer. He enjoyed woodworking projects, playing his guitar, loved his family and wife, reading the Bible and most of all loved Jesus Christ.
Also surviving are his three sons: Garry (and spouse Sherry) England, Warsaw; David (and spouse Mary) England, Lakeview, Mich.; Ronnie (and spouse Mary) England, Leesburg; a daughter, Linda (and spouse John) Smith, Fayetteville, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Verb (and spouse June) England, West Branch, Mich., and DeWayne (and spouse Pat) England, Sparta. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Zachary England, and one sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Warsaw Wesleyan Church, 2402 W. Old 30, Warsaw, with Pastor Gale Janofski officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military rites conducted by the Indiana ARNG Honor Guard, the American Legion Post #49 and the VFW Post #1126, both of Warsaw.
