BOURBON – Warren D. “Red” McIntyre, 78, of Tippecanoe, passed away at 5:45 a.m. July 26, 2011, in Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home,  Culver.

He was born Sept. 15, 1932, in Bremen, to Floyd and Grace Buss McIntyre. On Sept. 28, 1953, he married Helen Blackford, who survives.

He was a member of Tippecanoe Community Church. He faithfully served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had been involved in community activities serving on the Marshall County 4-H Fair Board, served as a Tippecanoe Volunteer Fireman and served on the Ambulance Advisory Board, as well as the Tippecanoe Improvement Association.

Also surviving are three children, Lorri (and spouse James) Gabhart, China, and Beth (and spouse Gregory Sr.) Weber and Kenny McIntyre, all of Tippecanoe; seven grandchildren: James (and spouse Samantha) Gabhart III, Cherish Gabhart, David (and spouse Debbie) Gabhart, Candice (and spouse Mitch) Crum, Greg (and spouse Lacey) Weber Jr., Ashley (and spouse Michael) Holbrook and Sarah Weber; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters: Esther (and spouse Gordon) Ecker, LaPaz; Pat (and spouse Martel) Jennings, Tippecanoe; Janice Wynn, Culver; and Sharon (and spouse) Kat Vanquiz, San Antonio, Texas; along with a brother, Darrell (and spouse Mary) McIntyre, Argos. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Tom and Flossie Kepler, and three brothers, Eugene, Devon and Eldon McIntyre.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tippecanoe Community Church, 2940 18B Road, with Pastor Douglas Fritzel officiating. Burial will be in Tippecanoe Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.

Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, is in charge of arrangements.
