ANDERSON – Virgie Pauline Caswell, 84, of Chesterfield, died July 21, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw, after an extended illness.

She was born April 15, 1928, in Peytonsburg, Ky., to Caleb and Ima Groce. On April 26, 1947, she married Lawrence Caswell, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of Mounds Baptist Church. She was a vivacious storyteller and a happy follower of Jesus.

Surviving are two daughters, Charlene McAllister and Cindy Nash; granddaughters, Aimee (and spouse Michael) Laura, Megan (and spouse T.J.) Collins and Hillary and Kassidy Nash; great-grandchildren, Isaac and Jonah Laura and Stephanie and Elijah Collins; and a sister, Juanita Hare. She also was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Matthew Laura; two brothers; and two sisters.

Services were at 1 p.m. today at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, Anderson, with the Rev. Steve Wilkerson officiating. Burial was in Bronnenberg Cemetery, Chesterfield.
