Shari L. Church, 51, Pierceton, passed away at 3:40 p.m. Sept. 28, 2014, at her home.
She was born April 17, 1963, in Wabash, to Michael Eugene and Judy Ann Cordill Goble. She was married April 8, 1982, in Warsaw, to Thomas E. Church, who survives in Pierceton.
She moved to Kosciusko County from Huntington, worked at Penguin Point and was a paper carrier for the South Bend Tribune and The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette. She was an excellent board game competitor, enjoyed playing Farmville and Castleville on Facebook and was very organized. She also enjoyed rescuing animals and watching wildlife in nature. She enjoyed cooking, listening to country music, fishing and riding her bicycle and took care of others before herself. She also loved reading her Bible.
Also surviving are a stepson, Joshua Church, Columbia City; a stepdaughter, Leisa (and spouse Craig) Burgin, Lebanon; a daughter, Tiffany Church, Columbia City; her mother, Judy Touder, Wesley Chapel, Fla.; and four grandchildren: Beau and Marabeth Burgin and Brayden and Rylee Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael E. Goble, who died in 1996, and a sister, Tammy Musgrove, who died in May of 2007.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Charles Runyan, North Webster Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial will be at South Whitley Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
