Ruth Louise Scripture, 81, of 1153 N. Arbutus Trial, Warsaw, passed away at 8:55 a.m. Jan. 10, 2010, in her residence.

She was born June 17, 1928, in Mt. Clemens, Mich., to Albert Paul and Anna Martha Hohensee Baumbauer. On June 6, 1959, in Hazel Park, Mich., she married the Rev. George Bronson Scripture, who died May 12, 2009.

She was a nurse, having studied for three years at the Salvation Army Training College and at Sacramento State University. Living in Kosciusko County for the past five years, she was a member of Bethany Fellowship, Warsaw.

Surviving are three daughters: S. Rebecca Scripture, Hamilton, Ohio; Dulcie (and spouse the Rev. Kurt) Pasko, Manchester, Iowa; and Reba (and spouse the Rev. Michael) Halliburton, Nampa, Idaho; two sons, Dr. J. Benjamin (and spouse Dr. Karen) Scripture, Warsaw, and George Bronson III (and spouse Sarah) Scripture, Redding, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with the Rev. Michael Halliburton officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.

Calling is from 6 to 8 pm. Wednesday at the funeral home.
