ROCHESTER – Ruth H. Zartman, 90, died at 4:40 a.m. Jan. 1, 2013, in Pilgrim Manor, Plymouth, surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 29, 1922, to Guy and Lily E. Johnson Hunter. On June 17, 1939, in Rochester, she married Dean L. Zartman, who preceded her in death. She was a seamstress. Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis Marie (and spouse Robert) Calhoun, Charlottesville, Va., and Carol Ann (and spouse Jerry) Allshouse, of Barberton, Ohio; a son, Ernest Dean (and spouse Lorna) Zartman, Plymouth; a sister, Peggy Ehlinger, Rochester; two brothers, Larry (and spouse Ruth) Hunter, Rochester, and Russell Dean (and spouse Nancy) Hunter, Jensen Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Good Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Rochester. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
