Robert P. "Poppy" Blalock, 58, of 3529 W. CR 100S, Warsaw, died at 5:02 a.m. July 27, 2008, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Dec. 31, 1949, in Chicago, Ill., to Cecil P. White and Josephine Titone. On Aug. 11, 1986, he married Mary Splinter, who survives.
He moved to Warsaw from Petosky, Mich., in 1989. He worked most of his life as a truck driver.
Also surviving are five daughters, including Nadine (and spouse Darrin) Gibbs, Warsaw, and Theresa (and spouse Rick) Hall, Rochester; six sons, including Kenneth (and spouse Nancy) Carter, Illinois, and Patrick (and spouse Sarah) Carter, Alanson, Mich.; two brothers, George and Louis Blalock, both of Warsaw; three sisters; 33 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Robert Splinter, Alanson.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at New Beginnings Community Church, Atwood, with Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher officiating.
No calling is planned.
