NORTH MANCHESTER – Rex E. Guthrie, 65, Laketon, passed away March 15, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. He was born Aug. 27, 1949, in Wabash, to Dallas and Doris Kamp Guthrie. He was employed as a bricklayer in the construction industry for many years. He was a multi-sport athlete, excelling in baseball, basketball and bowling. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors working in his garden and playing golf. He is survived by three sons: Rexx (and spouse Darlene) Guthrie, Warsaw; Jeremy T. Guthrie, Whitley; and Donnie (and spouse Chris); two brothers, Mark (and spouse Jill) Guthrie, Claypool, and Scott Guthrie, Laketon; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut St., North Manchester, with Pastor JP Freeman officiating.
