Milo “Gene” Zartman, 77, Leesburg, passed away at 11:17 a.m. July 30, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born March 2, 1938, in Argos, to Calvin and Hazel Fishburn Zartman. On Oct. 24, 1956, in Lawrenceburg, he married Sandra Smith, who survives in Leesburg. He was a Leesburg resident for 53 years. He was a truck driver for 30 years, self-employed as a farmer and equipment operator for Gawthrop Excavating. He was a member of Warsaw Church of God and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Also surviving are, a daughter: Kim Zartman, Warsaw; a daughter-in-law, Rose Zartman; a granddaughter, Alaina Zink; and two sisters, Loeta (and spouse Curt) Sundstrom, Belle Fourche, S.D., and Sally Bullock, Hollywood, Fla. He was preceded in death by a son, Tony Zartman, who died May 16, 2010. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Warsaw Church of God with Pastor Tim Kumfer officiating. Burial is in Leesburg Cemetery. Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.
